First winter Hellebore

No hard frosts Lisagran which keeps the ground warm for the plants and if this mild weather continues we'll see daffodils at the end of next month.

Would you believe that my trailing geranium is flourishing with new growth and buds galore ? Also a fuschia is still in bloom.

Lisagran I am in Oxfordshire, where we have had several sharp frosts. My potted fuschias have only recently succumbed.

I've just realised that a small plant with tiny white buds in our 'new' back garden might be a hellebore. I've been trying to identify it but failed up to now.
I do hope so. They bring hope in the middle of dark days.

My osteospermum is in a pot too, usually on the little table. It has had flowers continuously all year.

I have just one potted Hellebore plant, which flowers through most of the year! I also have an Osteospermum in a pot against the house which is still flowering its socks off. These pics were taken a few minutes ago.

I love them and still haven't planted any - is it too late?

They are lovely but they don't half seed themselves! I gave loads away on freecycle but I can't be bothered again and just dig them up.

We had a white one in our french garden, not there now so can't report..
There was also a spreading green flowered hellebore which springs up beside a stream near there. That used to flower in Feb.
I've got a photo somewhere, I'll ask husband how to post it.

How lovely. In the last few days I have had three yellow roses appear on the bush just outside the kitchen window. Don't remember this from other Decembers.
I'm now off on a hellebore hunt!

I love hellebores, the brighten up the winter time.
I've just been out for a look at ours. We have a few buds, but no flowers yet.

I am going to wander out for a reccie having seen that beautiful flower Lisagran.
