Buy too many cushions. Ask "do I look fat in this?" (When there is never going to be a right answer) Order their meal with a salad because they're 'on a diet' and then steal the chips from their partners plate.
Just browsing GN and noticed these posts, brightened my day too! And yes, I can relate to many; particularly the members who talk to inanimate objects - I do that........the washer, the fridge, the sewing machine, the iron, the dodgy window catch, the illusive garments..........the list goes on. Keep them coming GN members! "Come on kettle, are you boiling yet"?
I have been know to swear at inanimate objects; in particular the cupboard under the stairs. I am perfectly well aware that I need to duck my head when going in there but, for some reason, I forget to do so on the way back out. That's when I have a one way conversation of "Owww, you *%!@¥#ing ☆&#@! you"! OH just sniggers.
Jalima its very handy watching on catchup Netflix etc with the remote between us so you can pause and say whatever... MissAdventure I don't think I've ever done that. ?
I talk to household items. The vacuum; "come on, out you come" The washing; "you will go in the machine, I'm not taking no for an answer. Get in, will you!".
I'll fess up..... I'm a mutterer. If I'm concentrating on doing several things at once, such as prepping a meal whilst shoving the washing into the machine at the same time as listening to OH twittering on about what Sid said at the library this morning; I mutter to myself. Just a low rumbling running commentary on what I've done, what I'm doing now and what I've got to do next. OH doesn't mind. He's partially deaf so he can't hear me anyway.
As is refusing to repeat what a character has just said on a TV programme because if we do we'd both miss what the character says next. I have that annoying habit too.
As well as seeing something I like in the first shop but checking everywhere else just to make sure before going back into the first shop to buy said object.
Maggiemaybe I do both of those! What is very annoying is when you look round all the shops and go back and buy the one in the first shop. My husband just doesn't get this need to check everywhere. He would just buy the first one right away.
On a trip to town, some of us might see something we sort of like in the first shop we go into, but refuse to buy it immediately because we have this strange compulsion to go into more shops to look at other things in case we see something better, maybe even try things on to see if they fit. This is apparently very annoying.

I do the cushion thing too. I love changing the colours/theme. But I rarely throw them out. I think my husband would say the most annoying thing I do is tidy his room when his back is turned and then he can't find anything. I must plead guilty. I ignore the mess for ages but then I can take it no longer. Yes I know I shouldn't. Lemongrove I do the guilt thing too. So does my daughter. Its so annoying. I'm trying to stop.
