Buy too many cushions.
Ask "do I look fat in this?" (When there is never going to be a right answer)
Order their meal with a salad because they're 'on a diet' and then steal the chips from their partners plate.

Over to you.. tchsmile

and apparently I take ages to choose something in a shop - eg something major like a new suite - then when it arrives decide I should have picked a different colour.
Apparently that is annoying.

Apparently I 'stare' at things in the supermarket! I've tried to explain that I am busy calculating the best deal available in order to save us money, but it falls on deaf ears.
I 'slam' the car door too hard - apparently.
And I procrastinate ie don't do what OH thinks I should be doing (because I'm on GN tchblush) but don't tell him that.

I not only mumble, I don’t listen either. Apparently.

And I know I have the most appalling memory - but I had that when he married me.

Saggi Fri 21-Dec-18 16:32:04

Well Grannybags ...they only do it wrong so you won’t ask them to do it again.

I prefer the toilet roll hung the other way round to his preference, and he has won. I also prefer the toilet seat left down.

Does that count as annoying?

I think most women have one major fault....that of feeling guilty about just about anything! They feel responsible for the whole family’s happiness.

I know that when I am stressed I get irritable with my husband. Not fair as he is a calm laid back person. I'm sure like Kittylester's husband mine could give you a long list.

KatyK Fri 21-Dec-18 12:50:24

My daughter always says to me 'mum, you've already told me that' so apparently I repeat myself too.

ctussaud Fri 21-Dec-18 12:47:08

Wait till they get on the bus before locating card/pass/change to pay. Get it ready as bus approaches!

Urmstongran Fri 21-Dec-18 11:53:51

I only half listen apparently. Oh dear.

Lumarei Fri 21-Dec-18 11:36:06

TwiceAsNice I am the same. Too longwinded and want to solve everyone’s problem when listening would do.

Megs36 Fri 21-Dec-18 11:35:09

Chewbacca I sooo agree, and it's so irritating, apart from mumbling I' m usually 'outside', or the washing machine is 'too loud'...Boot on the other foot sometimes but he really does mumble????

NannyG123 Fri 21-Dec-18 11:11:51

stop and chat to friends whilst out shopping with him. And apparently after 40 years of my cooking when he retired I was told I don't mash potatoes properly(let's just say he hasn't said that again)

starbox Fri 21-Dec-18 11:09:54

Definitely agree with the cushions! Saw some fabulous ones and ordered the lot- it can be a struggle to sit in some of our chairs without offloading them (but too nice to throw out!)

GrannyMosh Fri 21-Dec-18 10:48:30

Women have many faults.
Men have only two.
Everything they say
And everything they do!

And before anyone jumps down my throat, I like PEOPLE of all genders, persuasions, and opinions. I just don't take life, or myself too seriously. Happy Friday, everyone x

winterwhite Fri 21-Dec-18 10:46:31

I leave my shoes in the middle of the bedroom floor. I can never find my glasses. Or my keys. I don't listen attentively enough when he reads out snippets from the paper. Other than that....

EEJit Fri 21-Dec-18 10:44:12

Beloved will sometimes play a video on her phone at full volume without warning.

She'll give me a heart attack one of these days.

TwiceAsNice Fri 21-Dec-18 10:42:03

I live on my own so it doesn't matter. Daughters say I go all around the houses when I'm trying to explain something. And I always try to find a solution to their dilemma for them when they only want me to listen.

inishowen Fri 21-Dec-18 10:37:12

When I suggest a takeaway I refuse to go and collect it. Hubby moans but he always goes in the end. I have no excuse, but I like to watch the soaps and don't want to miss anything.

CardiffJaguar Fri 21-Dec-18 10:22:56

In general, never thinking about how to pay at the supermarket checkout until there is nothing left to do and then taking an age to get it done.

annodomini Fri 21-Dec-18 10:15:23

You'd need to ask my DSs nowadays! I'm sure their answers would fill a volume! But mostly I have no-one to annoy but myself. Spilling a mug of tea on my laptop was probably the most annoying thing I've done in at least a decade.

kwest Fri 21-Dec-18 10:14:26

When women don't say a simple "Thank you Darling" when their husbands do thoughtful little things.
The joy is sucked out of any spontaneous gesture by thoughtless nit-picking and " if onlys".

kittylester Fri 21-Dec-18 10:10:08

I'm not going to risk asking DH! We've not got that much time!!

KatyK Fri 21-Dec-18 09:40:14

I talk to him when he is engrossed in a TV programme, tell him he's being ridiculous when he says I look better than other women of my age (he is), ask for ideas for gifts for people and then tell him his ideas are daft. Lots more but he takes it with good humour. smile

M0nica Fri 21-Dec-18 08:20:47

If the question 'Does my bum look big in this?' arises I know the answer and promptly put the garment back on the rail.

Nothing to do with my size. Everything to do with my shape.
