Good morning all from East Northants. Too early to see what the weather is doing, but I think the forecast is for a dry day. I hope so, I'm taking great grandchildren to see Santa today. It's wonderful to see Christmas through the eyes of children again. Enjoy the show Mick and the wine Blue! Have a good Tuesday everyone.

Good morning Mick and all you early risers. It's blowing a hooley here in Glasgow and it's pitch black.

I have been up being sick during the night and the cough is back! I'm feeling pretty miserable and sorry for myself. sad DH, as expected never heard a thing and slept through all the noise!

Nina, I'm also going to attack the freezer and try to make room for all the frozen veggies, easier said than done! grin
I have the hairdresser too, dragonfly and it means going out at 8.30 in the rush hour -another moan! What a cheery person I am this morning. grin

We got a new all singing and dancing microwave recently, you would have to be a member of Mensa to follow the instructions.
However, I have discovered the melt facility. It's so useful when baking.

We then have to brave the elements and pick up our wee granddaughter from nursery, so a busy day today. She is terrified of Willie Wind, so we may resort to bribing her with Jelly Babies to get her outside.

Have a good day, whatever you are doing.

Morning all. Dark, damp and windy in Northampton at the moment.

Out for lunch today with a friend I made when we moved to Northampton in 1972. A colleague at first, and then DH and I became close friends with her and her DH. We have both lost our DHs now, so nothing needs to be said; we both know how the other feels. I should imagine a bottle of wine will be drunk...neither of us driving, by the way, destination easily accessible by bus!

Then try to sort my Kindle Fire out; it won't charge, and even loses charge when it is plugged in and supposed to be charging. Trying to run it right down and then charge back up from empty. If that doesn't work, then might have to treat myself to a new one for Christmas....love my Kindle and would feel lost without it.

Might marzipan the Christmas cake this afternoon.

Hope you enjoy the show tonight, Mick. I would really like to see that one.

Good Morning Mick, nina and everyone!

It is too dark to see what the weather is doing here on the south coast but the forecast is for wind and rain. Oh joy. We are nearly at the shortest day though so very soon the light will be coming back and I already have tulips peeping out of plant pots outdoors.

I have done all the things on my list so today can just pootle and faff and catch up on some TV recordings.

I also need to get to grips with the new microwave which arrived yesterday and is highly techno compared to the old manual one which has just given up the ghost. I can't absorb the instructions with DH leaning over my shoulder so will choose my moment!

Hope the day is a good one for us all and that those feeling unwell are on the up.

After defrosting and throwing stuff out from the freezer yesterday I now have room to buy the turkey today.
Will have coffee whilst out.
DH in a lot of pain with lower back/ hip. He's still asleep, hope he's better today.
Hope everyone is healthy and happy.
