Ah, another year’s lease, wonderful!
Leave your worries at the door and put your feet up.

Doodle Wed 04-Sept-19 20:52:44

Snug! Since when have we had a snug? Do you mean that cupboard under the stairs lemon? I’m surprised you can fit in there let alone the captain. Still a sundowner sounds nice. Budge up.

lemongrove Wed 04-Sept-19 18:23:05

I shall be putting my feet up now in the snug, and having a sundowner with the Captain.???

lemongrove Wed 04-Sept-19 18:21:33

I ‘eard that!
Marydoll and Big Jim are not kipping anywhere ( free of charge). We can do mates rates though?
A tenner a night each and there’s an old sleeping bag for two
In the cellar, next to the pipes that Jim enjoys tapping so much.
There may be a rabid ferret running around down there, so do be careful.?

Doodle Mon 02-Sept-19 21:42:01

Worry not marydoll. There is an old kennel in the back yard that I used to put lemon’s ferrets in (don’t tell her). You and Big Jim can bed down there for a few days. It should be quite comfy (might pong a bit) ?

Chewbacca Mon 02-Sept-19 21:38:06

Excuse me Marydoll? The last time I ate a fireman alive was back in 1978 and frankly, it wasn't an excercise I'd like to repeat. All that asbestos and rubber, urgh.

Anyway, you and Big Jim can't doss down in the Argy because I've taken over the back room with my new business enterprise. I've got a magic mushroom farm starting off in there. It seemed the ideal place; dark, dank and full of s**t. We can sell the mushrooms to replace the money that Marydoll will, inevitably, be liberating from the juke box, to fund her and Big Jim's international foray. hmm

GrannyGravy13 Mon 02-Sept-19 21:34:24

If it involves firemen I am ready and able to assist........the bins can wait (sorry Grumpy Gravy) ?‍??‍??‍??‍?????

Doodle Mon 02-Sept-19 21:27:34

Come on everyone let’s get ready for an Argy Bargy ?????. Full house tonight. ?‍?

Marydoll Mon 02-Sept-19 21:15:38

I have had a wee bit of bother with the special brew sad shock, well, actually a BIG bit of bother.

Unfortunately, the concoction blew up and the Fire Service had to be summoned. (No it wasn't deliberate, I prefer sailors in uniform)
Big Jim and I are looking for somewhere to lay down our weary, sticky, pungent heads. We happened to be sniffing the brew, when it all went pear shaped. ?
Our brewery is no more!
Please, please, please may we doss down in the Argy for a few nights?

On a lighter note, I have invited the whole fire crew down to the Argy after they finish their shift. There are a few Adonises or to be grammatically correct (once a pedant, always a pedant, and proud to be one!) Adonides in the crew.

Under no circumstances, allow Chewy near them, she will eat them alive.

Time for a swap? Return Jude first though ( not that I don’t trust you) but this is a hostage situation after all.
Grumpy Gravy is quite well, just a bit tired after his exertions.

I return Big Jim to you marydoll in the same state as I found him in ( don’t ask!)

The Captain has returned Jason the Alsatian to the bar btw (it’s all returns here tonight, just like Amazon.)
Anyhoo....I am pleased to see the old boy ( and the dog too, of course.)
?

GrannyGravy13 Sun 01-Sept-19 10:39:11

maddyone thank you for going beyond the call of duty ??

Anyone seen Grumpy Gravy as my house is very quiet and the bins need doing!!!

maddyone Sun 01-Sept-19 10:21:07

Big Boris might be Russian Grapefruit Grove, but I think he’s probably not, well I couldn’t find any Novichok in his pockets when I searched him just after he arrived at the Argy. I mean, he had to be searched, I had to make sure you ladies would be perfectly safe with him around. In fact I took him behind the Tena machine and gave him a proper dressing down to ensure your safety. I think that was particularly noble of me.

Marydoll Sat 31-Aug-19 23:34:39

I missed you all too.?

Actually, LEMONgrove suits you!

I'm working on a new brew, watch this space! It's in the experimental stage. I need to try and deal with the side effects.
Some of the side effects just can't be mentioned on a family forum. ???

lemongrove Sat 31-Aug-19 23:14:58

Nice to have you all back btw...I knew you had gone for a sea voyage, but you were seriously missed on the cleaning rota.

lemongrove Sat 31-Aug-19 23:12:52

I seem to be getting fruitier by the minute!
Limegrove, Orangegrove and Tangerinegrove are my sisters
( we don’t mention Bananagrove though.?)
We do look alike, so no wonder you are getting confused Marydoll ( it could be your age of course, you poor old dear) or it could be the vodka you have been necking recently.
Get back on the old poteen, much healthier.

Marydoll Sat 31-Aug-19 23:05:44

Listen here, Tangerinegrove, you never could keep a secret, once you get a taste of *Soop's "special "elixir.
I know your game, you want big Jim all for your self!
Well, he's mine all mine!!!!!!!!
Who is this *MAD ONE, and her ramblings? I'll have you know my electronic ' bracelet' is a designer piece. It even has a hallmark, HMPS. Never seen her before in my puff!!!

lemongrove Sat 31-Aug-19 22:41:21

Sorry maddy it’s still fermenting, ready by Sunday night though.?
Have a pint of my own brew? Very herbal, very tasty.☠️

lemongrove Sat 31-Aug-19 22:39:38

I am telling Big Jim about this ‘Big Boris’.....is he a Russian?

maddyone Sat 31-Aug-19 22:38:43

A pint of turnip Brandy please Soop, when you’re ready.

maddyone Sat 31-Aug-19 22:37:53

How can that romaroot deny she’s been incarcerated detained at by her maj, she shared a cell bedroom with me, and anyway from whence did that electronic ankle decoration come from if not a personal gift from her maj? It matches mine beautifully. And Marydoll’s been keeping big Boris all to herself and hasn’t been sharing him out at all. Boris likes a bit of variety. Bring him down here Marydoll, we’ll help him sort everything out, he’ll move things along like lightning when he’s been to the Argy.

soop Sat 31-Aug-19 17:26:16

Chewbacca The recipe for my home brewed turnip brandy is top secret. Maybe, if you behave, I shall ferment something equally unquaffable in time for the new year.

lemongrove Sat 31-Aug-19 15:30:29

Too late!
However, I will add a gallon of turnip ( neep?) brandy as well.

Chewbacca Sat 31-Aug-19 15:18:40

Oh lemon for goodness sake don't go encouraging soop to do more baking. It took us weeks to repair the tables after she dumped those "meat" pies on it last time. They were like lead! Don't you remember we fed them to Jason the alsation and he couldn't move for a week. soops home made turnip brandy is better. Ask for a gallon of that instead. ????

soop Sat 31-Aug-19 15:13:23

lemongrove Consider the order done and ready to throw through the Argy door early Monday. The rock cakes will be nicely mould-tinted by then. Can't have too much of a good thing.

soop Sat 31-Aug-19 15:10:01

lemongrove The stuff of nightmares dreams.

lemongrove Sat 31-Aug-19 14:40:24

Yes, that Father Christmas thing was weird wasn’t it? We never did find out exactly what happened, it’s a sort of X Files mystery.?
