Well Kate, it didn't go quite so smoothly, but after 42 years, I have learned to bite my tongue. I disappeared for half an hour and when I came back, it looked as if DGD had put it up. It reminded me of the leaning tower of Pisa with tinsel. grin.

Glad you survived keep fit!

NanKate Mon 10-Dec-18 14:11:23

Popping in again to speak to Mary. Glad your tree is in position and all went smoothly. I said to DH not to bother as we will be away with the family for 10 days over the holiday season. I return from Keep Fit, the tree is up and decorated and I gave to admit it all looks lovely.

I will definitely be raring to go to Keep Fit again next Monday Mary as it is the Christmas lunch that day. ?

Good morning All x Albeit a late one.
I decided to get my chores and showering done before I settle to wait for parcel post or I find myself not moving.

Fine and bright so far and not that cold-----------yet !

Hope all is well with everyone.

Good morning GNs from a dry-but-cloudy Morecambe Bay. (At least it's stopped raining now.) I must get on with writing Christmas cards, but there's always something more enjoyable to do. Such as reading GN....

Good morning everyone. There's been rain overnight but non at the moment, hope it lasts. High St for me this afternoon, making a cake this morning the fruit has been soaking in Guinness. Hope you feel better soon silverlining.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all from blue skies and beautiful cloud formations here in Scotland. Was out very early on slippery pavements and paths. Key chores done and coffee time. Feet up for an hour recovering from a hectic weekend. Must, must write the cards. Have a good day.

Morning all, didn’t get dressed yesterday but giving it a try today. Still not right so have had to cancel our walkers lunch, which is very disappointing. Hope flu isnt on the way.
Let’s see how that flu jab works,

Well it’s not raining todayrufus and I am sure the girls will enjoy Christmas in germany, especially the lovely Christmas markets with mostly home made things to sell. Not to be missed.

Good Evening Mick and Everyone; We've had a beautiful day; 24C, no wind, but unfortunately no rain. One of our granddaughters (18) from Brisbane and her girl-friend have just landed in London for a 12 day holiday before moving on to their school's host family in Germany. Naturally it was raining when Etihad landed at Heathrow.
Now we're running a "book" on how many days of the 12 are wet! tchgrin The favourite is 12; 0 and 1 have been scratched! We'll take the girls track report over any prof. weather bureau!

Good morning from the south east, it looks to be a fairly cloudy but a clear day, good for us as we are departing to Harrogate for a few days.

Had a succession of unannounced visitors yesterday, so we didn't get the Christmas tree up, but shouldn't complain as I was given early birthday cards and presents from my guest and was particularly pleased with beautifully illustrated one from gc and their present, a lovely photo in a frame of them smile However, behind with everything today, the Christmas tree will have to wait until our return at the end of the week. Hope to get off late morning.

Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning to everyone, I'm very late today but I had problems accessing 'Gransnet' - server problems I believe. Never mind I'm here now. It's bright and frosty here in Fife today. Looking forward to a lovely lunch with a friend of mine instead of exchanging Christmas presents. Off to the big city! Good to hear everyone seems to be getting into the Christmas spirit. Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning from a cloudy Aberdeenshire. Now that I have completed all the baking, I shall clean out the store cupboard. God knows what's at the back. Lord Lucan? Have a good day all.

Good morning from a bright but slightly overcast Colchester.
Up late after a lovely family day yesterday.
Walking Netball this morning followed by our Christmas lunch. My laughing bone will be worn out.
I must seek out some tinsel for my hair as dressing up is obligatory.

Willow10 Mon 10-Dec-18 08:36:07

Good morning all. After a last ditch effort I found the lost Christmas tree lights in the shed, so it saved me a shopping trip yesterday. Still have to shop this morning though, but fortunately its dry and bright, if a bit cold. Have a good Monday everyone.

aggie Mon 10-Dec-18 08:32:40

Good Morning all , I am still in bed . Seems cold out there . Out today to search for bread flour , I like brown but local store just has white . We put fairy lights on the Acer tree in the garden yesterday they looked pretty

harrigran Mon 10-Dec-18 08:17:31

Good morning from a cold and frosty NE.
Tree decorating today and greenery up the staircase.
Two lots of birthday gifts to wrap.
First half of the week is always quieter so I must get on with household jobs.

gillybob Mon 10-Dec-18 08:09:47

Good morning everyone x

Marydoll Mon 10-Dec-18 07:47:14

Good morning all. There has been a wee touch of frost, a crisp morning here in Glasgow.
A day of lots of wee, mundane jobs. I'm also off to the butchers to order our turkey roastchicken and DS's. I knew he was waiting for me to offer! I was hoping HE would offer. grin

For the first time in 42 years, DH and I didn't fall out, whilst putting up the Christmas trees. There is hope for us yet! grin

Best wishes for your DH, Sar. and anyone else who is poorly.

Kate, don't you be overdoing it at keep fit.! smile

Happy Monday everyone.

dragonfly46 Mon 10-Dec-18 07:42:40

Morning all!

kittylester Mon 10-Dec-18 07:41:22

Morning all!

It's not raining in North Leicestershire but that is about I know!

School run today instead of Wednesday so I shall be confused for the rest of the week.

Best wishes to your DH, sar!

NannyJan53 Mon 10-Dec-18 07:37:07

Good Morning all from a chilly Black Country. Took ages for me to get in here!

Had a lovely family meal yesterday for DD's impending 40th birthday. Not often all the family get together, so 14 of us there.

Walking for Health long walk this morning, then our Burglar alarm is being serviced this afternoon, so will have to wait in.

Have a good day everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 10-Dec-18 07:34:49

Good morning all x

No idea what the weather is like in SE Essex as I have not opened the curtains, cannot hear rain or wind though.

Mr GG has early fasting blood tes, then off to Sainsbury’s. Afterward I shall go to the gym, and I really must crack on with gift wrapping.

Morning Annie x

Wishing you all a peaceful day ?????

Greyduster Mon 10-Dec-18 07:26:49

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It is barely light but looks fairly clear outside. I like to see the dawn creep up the sky. I have to take my glasses to be repaired this morning and then later we have the school run. Good luck to your DH, Sar. Have a good day, folks.

NanKate Mon 10-Dec-18 07:14:19

Morning Mick and All.

Dark and cold in South Bucks.

Going to Keep Fit, first time in about a month. I hate getting up so early in the dark months I’m fine in the lighter months.

I too Gaga feel a bit uncomfortable having workmen in the house, so I usually set them up with tea and biscuits and go out.
