Good morning one and all. Bright, sunny and cold here in Somerset. I was planning a bike ride today but my mouth has been hurting so much with the stitches that were put in after my dental implants that I had to go to the dentist first thing this morning and had them removed. All is well now, bit achy but I have managed a coffee and cake.

Morning all,

Bright with watery sunshine here in the North. Have been reflecting on this daily thread and wish to share a daily practice (can't remember catalyst: wish I could) I indulge in. It's at the other end of the day when, just before dropping off, I reflect on the day and highlight the best and worst 'thing' that has happened. For @me it's proven to be highly therapeutic and so often the 'worst' seems not so bad after all and the 'best' is regurgitated and doubly enjoyed. This bars personal disasters, of course. I'm only sharing because I recommend you try this. Nothing to lose?

Good morning all,
It's grey, dull and windy here in South Yorkshire, but not raining for now, though it was battering on the windows in the early hours.
Hoping to get my cards written today, especially the ones for Europe, and make a start on gift wrapping. I'm always full of good intentions to wrap as I buy, but I never do!
Hope everyone has a good day. tchsmile

Good morning all x

Wet and windy here in SE Essex.

Off to see GS in his pre-school concert now, he was so excited this morning.

I also need to sort out my Christmas Gifts, and see what else I need to buy, hopefully do that this afternoon.

Wishing you all a peaceful day ??????

Morning All

Very wet and very soggy here in the north of Norfolk.

((((Hugs)))) Annie

Has Artols been around lately? I’ve just seen videos of torrential rain and flooding in California. I hope it’s not in his bit.

I’m off for a stint volunteering at the local NT stately pile this afternoon. It’s all decorated up and looking fabulous. I hope loads of nice people turn up to chat otherwise it could be a loooong afternoon. ( I don’t have the energy for the tea rooms oldgaiijin!)

oldgaijin Fri 07-Dec-18 08:51:37

Morning Mick, morning all from a dreich and wet Aberdeenshire. More baking today for Santa's grotto event. Did eight dozen pieces yesterday so will try and do the same today. It's like being back to my Nat. Trust. For Scotland tea room days!

Anniebach Fri 07-Dec-18 08:48:23

Good morning All x
Wet windy and mild again here in the NW.

Cleaning around today and washing the bathroom. Not much else on the agenda today so I'll just see what the day brings. Must hand my script in to the surgery before I forget too.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Good morning all; it is now light enough to see that it is a wet miserable day in Northampton.
Out for lunch today the other side of town with a lovely meet-up group. Luckily I can get a bus from the corner of my road which takes me straight there without changing.
Had a lovely afternoon yesterday when an old friend called round for tea and a long chat. We lived next door to each other from 1974 (when we each bought our houses as young marrieds), until 1993, when our family moved a short distance away. Lost touch somehow, and recently got back together when I joined a walking group that she was also in! The years have just rolled away! She also lost her husband in the meantime (as did I). We didn't stop talking all afternoon!
I then had to collect youngest DGD from school again and give her tea.
Will post my Christmas cards today.
Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning everyone x

Good morning all from a very windy SE, I had a lovely day yesterday at Winter Wonderland, but I'm so so tired & sore. Think it will be a snuggle up at home kind of day. Hope everyone has a nice day too smile

Nana3 Fri 07-Dec-18 08:13:01

Good morning everyone, looking damp but not so cold in Lancashire. We have a walk planned but most people probably won't turn up.
Have a good day everyone.

Brunette10 Fri 07-Dec-18 08:06:02

Good morning to everyone and to those who follow. Very windy here in Fife today and can expect nothing else for the rest of the day. Household chores in the morning as a very busy weekend is about to begin. Got tree etc up yesterday house looking festive now. Everyone seems to be very busy - oh I wonder why? wink Marydoll, sounds fun tonight - have a great time hopefully the heating will be working this year. For everyone enjoying festivities have a great time. For those feeling under the weather look after yourselves.

Good Evening Mick and Everyone; your bruises appear to have mended Mick; Good! I've declined medical intervention on mine and offers of mirrors to assess any significant damage to my rear bumper bar! What the eye can't see, the heart can't grieve about!
Another hot, 38C, day today; it was 30C last midnight, but felt like 130C after my stupid decision to select Butter Chicken (Indian Style) for dinner out of the freezer.! sad Have a good Day!

Auntieflo Fri 07-Dec-18 08:00:27

Morning Mick, Annie to come, and all others, from a very wet and dark Berks.
Started on wrapping presents yesterday, and am trying to find my more up to date card list.
Yesterday I 'fed' my cake, for the second time, and think that it is now inebriated enough.
Later I have to collect my prescription meds and a parcel from John Lewis, via Waitrose.
Have a good day one and all.

Sar53 Fri 07-Dec-18 07:58:03

Good morning everyone from a very wet Essex by the sea. It looks really miserable outside. Off for a quick visit into town then Waitrose for fresh fish. Finish writing cards this afternoon . Have a good day everyone.

Pittcity Fri 07-Dec-18 07:55:41

Good morning from a dark, wet and windy Colchester.
Supposed to be having 3 year old DGS again today, but he was unwell yesterday and so DD is taking him to GP today. I suspect a throat infection.
I should be taking advantage of free day but will probably just try to avoid the weather.

NanKate Fri 07-Dec-18 07:50:00

Morning Mick and All

Damp and cloudy in South Bucks.

Hope you have recovered from your fall Mick and that all goes well for your DH at the hospital Kitty.

Off to the opticians for a full eye check. Hope my pressure doesn’t play up.

Back to writing Christmas cards this afternoon.

cornergran Fri 07-Dec-18 07:41:22

Morning Mick, morning All from a very windy corner of Somerset with horizontal rain. Friends coming to stay today. Heaps to do before they get here. Weekend forecast is dire so no idea what we’ll do other than eat a lot of cake. smile.

harrigran Fri 07-Dec-18 07:36:02

Good morning, it is wet and windy in the NE but mild.
Finished sorting cupboards yesterday so can think about Christmas trees, will put up the small one in the music room before starting on the hall and lounge.
DH has a hospital appointment this afternoon so that is him gone for half the day.

Willow10 Fri 07-Dec-18 07:31:30

Good morning all. Wet and very mild in East Northants. Ten pin bowling with U3A this morning, followed by meet up with eldest son for coffee. Hope it's a good day for everyone.

Marydoll Fri 07-Dec-18 07:31:24

Good morning all, dry here in Glasgow.

Off out to the pharmacy to track down my missing prescription and then supermarket shopping.

DH plans to put one of the trees up, so I'm expecting the usual tension and mess!

Tonight is my Christmas ladies night out , wine, nibbles, dancing, Santa, bingo and good company. It's always a great night out.
I'm looking forward to it. Last year I spent half the night in the Church Hall boiler house trying to get the heating to work!

Have a good Friday everyone.

NannyJan53 Fri 07-Dec-18 07:30:01

Good Morning from a damp but very mild Black Country. It felt like the heating was on when I got up, but it wasn't. I drove my partner to train station as usual at 7am, as he works in Birmingham city centre, and it is a nightmare driving in there.

A 90 minutes walk with a Walking for Health group, at a local beauty spot this morning. Then this afternoon, I am collected DD's birthday cake for her 40th birthday meal on Sunday.

Enjoy your Friday everyone.

DoraMarr Fri 07-Dec-18 07:22:16

Good morning Mick, Annie and everyone. Waiting for my daughter to arrive with my grandson. It’s damp and mild here in Birmingham. My partner will be here for lunch as usual, then I have a friend coming later. I hope there is a glimmer of sun sometime then I can take my little grandson for a walk in the park.
