My grandson does it.
I ask him to tell me something and he says
"No, wait! Er, um, wait, hang on..."

DH "er,um"
Enough said.

Anyone remember Bill Shankly? The most famous "er" user I`ve ever seen!

Oh I used to love the thin blue line.

That is exactly what I was thinking just the other day travelsafar. I was listening to someone speak and they used ‘like’ rather a lot but no ‘errs’. I have caught myself saying ‘like’ recently and feel slightly shame faced by it, I’m trying not to do it any more!

Remember The Thin Blue Line? That wonderful line, “Sir your ER has arrived”.

Err seems to have been in use forever. Someone I know uses a long drawn out Errrrrr. Horrid.

I've always thought Prince Charles says "er.." a lot when speaking.
