Soop' s warm and welcoming kitchen.

Hello the kitchen. We have just come back from DDs, having taken her some flowers and given her a hug. She was, uncharacteristically, not well yesterday and ended up in A&E, so we all had a bit of a fright. Fortunately it was nothing serious but it has made her rather nervous. I have instructed her to take it easy today, but that will, I know, fall on stony ground. We all have a fairly stressful few days coming up, and any extra worries are not welcome.

N&G I’m glad you enjoyed your afternoon tea; those cakes look super yummy! I hope there was a glass of bubbly to go with them!

I think I should ask Grampy for some of his medicine. We called at the bank on the way home today and there is a lovely butcher next door who sells hot roast pork sandwiches. DH cannot pass it, so we indulged, but salved our conscience at the massive amount of meat and crackling in them ? by only buying one and cutting it in half. We pulled into the car park of a closed down pub to eat it. It has stunning views from all around. When it was open, we would eat there in the summer on the terrace and it was a reason to linger. Not today though as it was cold, wet and windy. I was rewarded for my gluttony by excruciating heartburn!
Panache if I knew what the Welsh was for “keep your chin up” I would say it, but I know at the moment it is perhaps a tall order, so I will send you a {{hug}} and say you are in my thoughts.

Morethan I hope you start to feel better soon. Considering all the family stress you have had, it is not surprising if that is taking its toll.?. I hope the doctor can help.

Well, I had better go and try and make up some time. I will look in later.

N&G fruit would be cheaper for Grampy and more nutritious.

The cakes look seriously good and no doubt you did not leave any crumbs for the mice.

Sorry to hear that Mr. Corner is still under the weather with man flu. I do realise it lasts twice as long as the type of flu we get. With luck he will be on his feet by Christmas.

Kitty your GC s are gorgeous although I do have my eye on young Wolfie. Butter would not melt in his mouth.

I cannot believe it, I have a brand new passport delivered within a week and a half. I only have to find somewhere to go now. Very costly for a form of ID.

You will pleased to know the medication has eased Grampy's indigestion but we have moved on to whether he's 'been' or not ! What is it with chaps interest in their bowel habits? Especially over breakfast!

nyway , I have sent him off to Boots for whatever remedy they suggest and that is the end of it !!

Morning all, I’ve missed all your news. I’m still having tummy troubles and it’s getting worse. I’m going to have to go to the doctors this morning, because it’s getting worse not better. It’s drained all my energy. I’m supposed to be visiting Norfolk this weekend if I’m not sorted I don’t think that I’ll be going. My DiL has been suffering the side affects of her treatments. On a positive note the builders have finished apart from snagging. I hope your all ok and this dire grey miserable weather isn’t affecting your moods.

I ordered a gift voucher for one of my daughters for Christmas, it`s for the Embassy Centre in Skegness, so she can decide for herself which shows to go to. But I was a tad disappointed, I was expecting a fancy, colourful card, it`s just a piece of white paper with the amount on. But a friend has suggested presenting it in a photo frame to make it look nicer, so I think that`s what I`ll do.
Nearly forgot, Kitty, what a lovely set of grandchildren you have, pity the other 2 aren`t there. I have 7 grandchildren, but only once have they all been together in the same place, so that`s the only photo I have of them all, and it was over 7 years ago.

Think my posts are going missing! Sneaking into the cornerl of the lovely huge sofa.

Oh dear - we are not into December yet and the Florentines and the mini stollen have already bitten the dust. What diet? ?

There's a frozen leg of lamb about somewhere for such circumstances, just visualise the perfect murder and then if you can let it go, certainly no blood on the new carpets . Who did the painting? Will your husband fix it or do you need to get a decorator back?

I think the leg of lamb has miraculous properties greyd, it never defrosts until the oven beckons and then a new one appears to those in need.

Love the photo kitty, managed some of ours together back in the summer, usually Littlest aka whirlwind refuses to keep still and the middle one hides behind a cushion or pulls the oddest faces. If I was the mean sort there are a lot of photos that would be seriously embarrassing in a few years time .

Pleased you got back in one piece soop, I thoroughly dislike wet and windy weather. Ventured out for some food earlier and came back dripping. Mr C remains poorly so I guess it would be wrong to send him out with the recycling? . Maybe it will keep until tomorrow and he will be better. I can hope

Have just popped in to have a moan so please forgive me.

Having just had the whole house repaired/renovated/redecorated, today the carpet fitters started, all going well. Husband had apparently but "low-tac tape on all the newly glosses skirting boards to "protect them from the carpet fitters"????? He is now "trying" to take it off in the rooms were carpet have been fitted. Unfortunately it is also taking off all the new gloss paint ??????

I love him dearly but flipping heck he has tried my patience over the last 3 months!!!!

Apologise, I have left some banana bread and a nice little chocolate cake for you all on the side x

anno En route to Campbeltown, the wind was buffeting the car and, on arriving at the care home, we could barely open and then close the car door. I'm willing to bet that the ferry may be cancelled. Sea is mighty choppy.
