Oh Morethan I can feel your pain. I have friends who went exactly through this. Life can be so cruel. Of course you are feeling it more acutely at the moment because you have just been very poorly yourself.
This is something you all have to get through and come out the other side.
I send you strength to cope and hugs. I wish I could do more x

Happy as can be
All good friends and jolly good company.
Welcome and thank you all for your wonderful company.
Hello everyone, haven’t posted on here for ages, just dropping in to say hello to you all, and hoping your Christmas preparations are going according to plan.
More than,
for you, so sorry to hear about your daughter in law.
Beautiful flowers dragonfly.
I haven’t a hope of catching up with you all now, but sending greetings to you all anyway.
I’m popping in for tea and sympathy, not sure I deserve it as I’ve neglected you all. I just haven’t had the energy to catch up. I picked up my little grandson this afternoon and he said “oh Nanna I was worried when you were in hospital” so I told him it was nothing serious and no need to worry. He told me “but Nanna it’s serious to the people who love you” he’s such a poppet. I think he’s going to be a bit of a charmer. Anyway things aren’t too good at my son and sick DiL house. I just feel as if each of the adults are so wrapped up in their own distress that the family is pulling itself apart. Lots of ‘snapping’ going on. They seem so very unhappy including my DiL. I really don’t want to add to the pressure so wanted to have Christmas Day at home because I just can’t cope with 14 adults and 4 children plus another 10 dropping in. It will be bedlam and fraught with emotions. My own family are coming to stay in dribs and drabs from Boxing Day through to early January to see our DiL. I explained that to my DiL and she said “ but this is going to be my last Christmas” it’s really hard hearing that. I’m just feel so overwhelmed, upset and tired by all of this.
Ah! Annodomini that little revealation does make me feel a whole lot better!!
Panache, 'domesticated' is not my usual state. In fact, after tackling ironing, I have to have a little nap.
Thank you, Baggs. I feel so lucky to have been referred to the surgeon who has, without doubt, helped me to feel normal-ishagain, not necessarily sane, that would be taking things too far.
My insides have remained put. By now, I would have been in serious discomfort. Mr Zawal performed a minor miracle on Friday last. I've been told that the prolapse may present itself again. BUT...he will keep an eye on things. I cannot thank him enough.
callgirl1 You are right. An elderly gentleman was discovered dead at the wheel of his car. Two police cars went speeding by and then we heard the reason for their haste. Except of course, it was too late to take the man to hospita. Our friend gave info to the police.
I've been tackling the Labrador painting (fourth edition) all afternoon. The lady for whom I've done the portrait is very happy with edition number two. It means that I'm already home and dry but I am still not totally satisfied. The photos are rubbish. The features of the dog are bleached out. The eyes appear to be dark smudges. I am using a whole lot of artistic license in order to do the dog justice.
The day has vanished in a trice. Tabitha will be visiting any time soon. I shall away to prepare the chalet and her supper.
Tomorrow shouldn't be such a bithee day. We luck, I may even get a chance to catch up.
and
for every one of you.
Good news indeed soop, long may it last.
Good to see you greyd, sometimes these men shock us in a good way
.
eillyann the tapping therapy is often offered by someone qualified in eft (emotional freedom technique), if my memory is half right it was originally offered as tft (thought field therapy). I haven’t seen annies thread but there’s lots of information on the web. I’ve heard people say it helped them but like any therapeutic approach it won’t suit everyone.
Oh kitty if there’s ever a day a haircut is a positive experience for me the moon will turn green. Afraid I have a somewhat scratchy relationship with my hair, although the way it’s falling out just now it could soon not be an issue
.
You’ve reminded me there is laundry to be done, best sort it while it’s in my head to do.
Take care everyone.
Whilst we might agree in the merits of a nice Hair do..........in my case it lasts longer than my meagre strength!
I am totally lifeless this day!
Domesticated I think you said Annodomini???? what is that I pray?
However what an uplift for you Soop and I do sincerely hope that problem of yours remains exactly where it should be,little wonder you are feeling pleased!
Furthermore I am delighted for you.
Wet and soggy here with a very grey sky,not that I have ventured further than the window.
Anyway sending you all a cheerful night night, hopefully all is well in your neck of the woods.
soop, that is wonderful news about the prolapse. Fingers and toes still crossed

Wednesday.
Home, sweet home. The best bit of a Wednesdat ironing session is walking through my own front door and MacSporran saying...coffee? Yay!
Today is the first time in yonks when the prolapse hasn't lived up to it's name. Am I glad? I'm bloody ecstatic.
There is no way that I can catch up with you all right this minute. However, you lot are never far from my thoughts. Our kitchen is open all hours. Everyone is most welcome. Come on in and do whatever it is that you're happy to do. For me, right now, it is to say thank you for being here.

Yesterday bright and frosty; this morning dreich - a word which sums it up perfectly. Oddly enough, I suddenly became domesticated - don't worry, it won't last - having washed and dried two sets of bedding, towels, and sundry 'smalls', The corollary is that I now have to get out the ironing board and get going. Unlike you soop, I don't find ironing therapeutic and will do almost anything to avoid it. It's good to read so much news from everyone and to see new GC. Panache, I agree that there's nothing like a hairdo to make you feel like a new woman. I have to wait till next week for my pre-Christmas 'do'. Grey, on walks in the Peak District, I've noticed the numbers of pheasants. Are they destined to turn up on Christmas tables? Tonight is the annual Christmas dinner of our Women's Register, the first time in years that I haven't organised it. It was lovely to find a recently retired member who was all fired up to take it on. Which reminds me - I haven't decided what to wear - trousers or skirt?
eillyann
Anniebach started a thread about tapping a few weeks ago.
I will try and find it later but if you PM her, I am sure she will pass on her findings.
Oops! Sorry wrong thread!
Great to see your post gd. Dhs can step up to the plate when necessary!
eilyann nice to see you. You might get a wider response if you start a thread asking your question.
My washing hasn't made it as far the washer yet soop.
Hope your better regions are behaving.
n&g, we can only hope for rain till Jackson 's arm is healed. DS2 was a nightmare to keep out of trouble when he had various injuries!
You can get saliva spray dragonfly. A dry mouth is horrid isn't it.
Hi, panache, hope the benefit of the hairdo last a few days. And yours too corner.
Belated happy birthday to Galen - we are keeping this birthday going! Back home after my little trip to London and I even came home with a new camel coat - M&S of all places. Better start to catch up here I guess ?. Have a good day everyone!
Hello the kitchen. I know I haven’t a hope of catching up now, but I will just say how lovely the pictures of the Ella and Wolfie are. Nothing like babies to cheer you up. Kitty I think Wolfie is destined to be a pianist - he has lovely long fingers!
We went out for a walk yesterday in lovely sunshine but didn’t get very far before said sunshine became very watery. Quite atmospheric though. We seemed to be knee deep in pheasants too. They seemed to be running out of everywhere, but they didn’t seem to want to stay still and be photographed, just klaxoning off into cover before I could get the lens cap off!
GS texted us his Christmas list yesterday. The only thing not on it is a partridge in a pear tree! We may have to remortgage the house! No good robbing a bank - there are hardly any left!
Well, I can hear Himself stirring so I will take him up a cup of tea. He has been absolutely sterling this last few days. I am blessed.
I’ll look in later.
My counsellor (sp?) has suggested 'tapping therapy'. She says it's like acupuncture without needles. Have tried acupuncture in the past for pain with absolutely no result whatever. Has anyone heard of this? Would appreciate any comments.
N&G Ella looks lovely n her special outfit.
Sorry Galen missed your birthday yesterday. Hope you had a good day.
kitty what a lovely photo and what a smile ?
dragonfly some of the tablets I take give me a very dry mouth. I have bought some saliva tablets which help
? soop I have just read your post and realised my washing has been sitting in the machine all day. Off to sort it now. Thanks for the reminder ?
That's the beauty of this kitchen feeling......No cleaning, tidying or washing up required.
Popping in for a quiet moment with my rubber ring to sit on for comfort. Enough said?. Just need a corner to gather my thoughts. No baking today but will be back at my worktop tomorrow morning. Good wishes to all. Ps Does the kitchen need mopped and dusted or ......... ?
Another belated birthday greeting Galen, don`t know how I missed it yesterday.
Any chance of a look at your hairdo Panache? Glad it`s perked you up a bit.
Soop, I`ve just read on the Kintyre Forum that there was a fatal accident just south of Muasdale last week, a 90 year old driver found dead in their car in a field. The police think the car had been there several days, how sad that the poor person wasn`t missed by anyone.
We`ve got a faulty TV and dvd problem here, thank goodness it`s in Lynne`s bedroom and not in here!
So pleased you are feeling better Panache amazing what a hair cut can.
Sorry about your washing machine Soop hope it gets better soon.
Throws hands up in horror
...the washing machine has not been emptied. The first wash was okay re the portrait but I've messed up the eyes. Folk from next door called in a couple of hours ago. They have just left. I'm in a right guddle and apologise for not being around long enough to catch up AGAIN. What must you think of me? Answers on a postage stamp please.
Tabitha needs feeding. I need to tidy up. Ironing duty in the morning. Please be gentle with me. I am grovelling on my hands and knees.
You lot are lovely. Just sayin'
