Elf on the shelf!

I look forward to the elves coming out, though I think ours probably just give the boys ideas.....

It sounds like a great idea for my great granddaughter, who's going through teenage rebellion at the moment - age five!

Oh we had a hoot with ours last year. He’s a wonderful distraction and the cry’s of surprise from 4 children when they found his hiding place was a joy to hear. They still talk about his exploits a year later. He tried to open a Christmas present, drank a whole bottle of gin and ate their favourite crisps (it wasn’t us adults ...honest) harmless fun

He's definitely keeping an eye on Granny!!

I probably would have bought one if they had been around when my daughter was small.
I can see that they'd be useful for encouraging good behaviour.
Or are the elves naughty?

I bought 4 of those elves when I was in Oz in 1994. They appear every Christmas.

I have one sitting looking at me at the moment. May be rubbish but my grandson loves them. A week before Christmas last year I was searching local shops for one. Luckily there was a delivery and I managed to get one. As Elfie went home to Mum's last year and their Christmas decorations box hasn't come down from the loft yet when I saw one in a shop yesterday I couldn't resist. A lot of fun was had with him after school yesterday. Thanks for the storybook link Marydoll - looking forward to sharing that with him tomorrow.

Its harmless in my experience. We had them in school, when I was teaching.It worked a treat with the naughty boys and girls.
