M&S fail to deliver...

In July we ordered two chairs from M&S. A while later they gave us a delivery date of next Monday 5th November. Last week I contacted them to check all was ok, and two days ago they emailed and texted to confirm delivery and give me a 2 hour window. Today they phoned to say they can’t deliver because the supplier hasn’t produced the chairs. The chairs were not cheap, and we have organised our week round the delivery. All they could offer was a £50 voucher, increased to £75 on my pushing them, and only if I didn’t cancel.
I appreciate things can go wrong, but changing a delivery at such short notice after such a long lead time is unacceptable. I cancelled, and won’t order from M&S again.

Anything could have happened to cause the delay, until M&S had them in their hands they wouldn't have been aware of any issues. They offered recompense and gave advance notice tbh I think you're being unreasonable. You haven't gained anything, you still don't have the chairs.

And, why is this under 'Site Stuff'?
