Good morning everyone. 6.30 start when I am child minding and I’m still sleepy 5 hours later.
Drizzly with wet leaves on the pavements in London making me nervous of slipping. I took my 4 and a half year old grandson to school. I didn’t want him to start so young but nearing the end of his first term he loves it and goes off with a big grin and I don’t worry about him.
Waiting in for the window cleaner this morning then off to the shops.

Mapleleaf Wed 17-Oct-18 09:15:17

Good morning.
It's fairly bright and dry here at the moment. Got a few light jobs to do in the garden this morning.
SiL's calling tonight for gossip and tea. ?
Have a good day.

Auntieflo Wed 17-Oct-18 09:09:54

Morning Mick, Annie and everyone. It's dry here, but dull. My alarm went off and I went back to sleep until 08.40, when DH woke me with a cuppa. Nothing planned, but may go out for a mooch later on, to clear my fuzzy head. Have a good day one and all.

Anniebach Wed 17-Oct-18 08:49:32

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire. What are we doing today? We are going to the tip! What fun! Then we may do some (gentle) gardening. Ginny I once made GS some Noggin the Nog figures out of bits of felt and dolly pegs, and also soon had a stream of orders! Have a good day, folks, whatever you are doing.

Pittcity Wed 17-Oct-18 08:26:22

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. Mild and overcast after a hot, sunny day yesterday.
Wednesday coffee meetup in town followed by a bit of retail therapy.

ginny Wed 17-Oct-18 08:10:17

Good morning from a dull damp N. Bucks.
Off to a pottery workshop this morning and then on to craft club this afternoon. Not my turn to organise the project so a nice relaxing day. This evening I have to make 4 felt Stickmen’. I made one for DGS and now have requests from his little friends.
Wishing you all a good day.

cornergran Wed 17-Oct-18 08:04:07

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is looking grey and gloomy. Haven’t ventured out yet to check the temperature. Bit of a sort out this morning then off out for a while. Nothing exciting. Hope Wednesday is kind to everyone.

Morning all.
Back home from our hols so we are off to collect our little dog from his holiday home. He cries when we put him in the car! Good to know that he enjoys it there.
The builders have knocked down an inside wall so real progress is being made on the extension (plus lots of dust).
Hope you get your kitchen finished soon marydoll.
Art class this afternoon then an early night. These holidays are hard work!
Have been a good day everyone.

Brunette10 Wed 17-Oct-18 07:56:36

Good Morning everyone, a lovely dry and hopefully bright day in Fife. Good to get some washing out and dry too. Marydoll how lovely, it's things like that that us grandparents just love and hopefully you are alright! Nothing exciting planned for today but won't weary there's always something to do. Have a great day everyone.

gillybob Wed 17-Oct-18 07:55:14

Good morning everyone x

NanKate Wed 17-Oct-18 07:55:04

Morning Mick and All.

Overcast here in South Bucks.

More Rummykub today. It’s a great game and only needs 2 or more players.

What a lovely story Mary you are clearly very important to your young DGD, what a lovely surprise.

Hope you and DH get your flu jabs today.

PECS I would love to visit the Back to Backs in my old home town of B’ham.

Goodmorning from SE Essex

Off to the gym this morning, then off to Sainsbury's for a coffee and a browse! Anything to get out of the house, plasterer here today in some rooms, decorators in the others!!!!

Hope all who are feeling under the weather have a restful day.

Gagagran Wed 17-Oct-18 07:43:27

Morning all!

Smiling at your little DGD Mary. One of ours was very like that and don't they just wind their way into your heart?

It's dull and grey here on the south coast. DH is out with his bike club today and I am going to the library and also depositing two huge bags of paperbacks at the charity shop. I finally did the sorting out I had been meaning to do for some time on Monday.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Willow10 Wed 17-Oct-18 07:38:57

Good morning all. Grey and damp in East Northants, but still mild. Archery this morning followed by dropping off some unwanted gifts for a charity quiz next month, raising funds for medical detection dogs. Wish I didn't get so many toiletry sets at Christmas, when what I would really appreciate is a cordless drill or decent set of screwdrivers! (Not that I don't enjoy the really nice, expensive smellies my daughter in law gives me!) Enjoy your day everyone - get well soon if you are suffering.

Marydoll Wed 17-Oct-18 07:32:20

Good morning all from Glasgow. It's dry here in Glasgow and we are promised some sunshine.
DH plans to cut the grass for the last time and I shall potter about clearing up after him.
Managed to do a bit of retail therapy yesterday, I just wanted away from the mess. However, most of it was for DGD, I couldn't resist all the lovely things in the shops.
At about teatime, I heard a loud banging on the front door, I thought DH had locked himself out. There was a cheeky wee face pressed against the glass, shouting, "Gran, gran". She had told daddy, on picking her up from nursery, that she wanted to "Check on gran and papa." That's what's great about being a grandparent. ?
Have a good day, whatever you are doing.

ninathenana Wed 17-Oct-18 07:31:40

Morning all.

Sun is just rising into a blue sky, and it's still mild in Kent. I've only worn a cardie a few times this month and haven't needed a jacket yet.
DD has had to take my car for work so had to cancel hairdressers and a couple of other things. Housework it is then.

Sar53 Wed 17-Oct-18 07:29:36

Good morning everyone from a bright Essex by the sea. I've the start of a chest infection and the awful cough that goes with it. It's something I'm very prone to but have not suffered with for a good few months. A day indoors today methinks.
I hope anyone else who has the lurgy is feeling better. Have a good day all.

NannyJan53 Wed 17-Oct-18 07:27:44

Good Morning from a dull Black Country, but at least the rain has ceased!

Not a lot planned today, have a walk into town, and finish the ironing! PECS enjoy your day in 'Brum', I am only 25 mins train ride and pop over there fairly often.

Tomorrow I am joining Mum on a coach trip to Cambridge. She is a lifelong Unison member and they organise many trips and outing for their retired members.

Enjoy your day everyone

Blue45Sapphire Wed 17-Oct-18 07:26:52

Good morning everyone; grey and chilly in Northampton, but at least it's dry. Taking the cats to the vet for their booster jab today, just hope I can find them when it's time to put them in their carrier! Daughter picking me up this afternoon ready to go to our wine club in the evening

PECS Wed 17-Oct-18 06:52:48

oops! two not to!

PECS Wed 17-Oct-18 06:51:57

Good morning Mick & everyone . It is a cloudy, but not grey and wet, here in Birmingham where I stayed last night. Went to the Back to Back homes yesterday and plan to visit an art gallery and maybe a,shop or to before heading home this evening.

kittylester Wed 17-Oct-18 06:47:01

Morning Mick, morning Nana3, morning all.

It's not too cold in north Leicestershire and it's dry.

Flu jab yesterday was a bit of a non event so we are going back today.

School run this afternoon.

Nana3 Wed 17-Oct-18 06:35:24

Good morning all, still dark but very glad it isn't raining. The autumn colours are lovely in Lancashire especially when the sun is out. My cold is hanging around, just waiting it out and trying not to infect anyone else.
Have a good day everyone.
