These days, Muffin the baby will be able to choose its own gender, irrespective of its sex!

Given the fact they’ve openly talked about the gender, I’m certain they’ve had the prenatal Harmony test done and already know the gender.

I can only recall putting my hand on the bump when there was movement, I loved that, but only did it when indoors ,never in the high street or shops . It is very much a celeb thing now.

I liked the brown stripped sun dress and what a difference that blue evening gown , now she needs to get her hair tidied up.

If the baby is due in the Spring and we take the first week of March, she is 20 weeks pregnant , if so , the announcement was withheld untill they arrived in Australia

Looking at today's photos of Meghan wearing a bright blue evening gown (she must have been reading Annie's posts.) I'd say she is just past the first trimester.

I never used to walk around supporting/hugging my tiny bump during the early months. It must be a celebby thing. Mind you, you couldn't find any bumps under those marquee maternity dresses.

I agree the QCC is an excellent project so if pregnant stay home. Jalima this was their choice , I think getting pregnant knowing this tour was to take place was stupid.

I didn't say she was forced, I just say that not everyone feels absolutely blooming in pregnancy - but, before you do become pregnant you think you will.
And presumably the advice about flying has changed in 10 years.
Unless, of course, she is past the first trimester.

Come to think of it, having experienced both pregnancy and in subsequent years jetlag, one of my pregnancies felt like being permanently jetlagged so the two combined could make someone feel rather unwell. So if she wanted a day out to catch up on sleep because she's waking at 3 in the morning, I don't blame her.

Jalima, what about taking responsibility ? They knew this tour was on the cards, they chose to start a pregnancy at the same time , why not wait a month ?

Now Harry announces to the world he is hoping for a girl, how cruel. Sod what Harry wants, what about the child, if a boy the press will surely bring this up, and if they have a second which is a girl wait for ‘ the daughter Harry longed for’.

It's OK to fly in the second trimester, so I understand. DD was told on no account to fly in the first or third trimester.

Perhaps the medical advice has changed since then.

Not sure of my distances and this is second trimester but DD3 aged 37 and 19 weeks into her first pregnancy has just returned from a 10 day business trip to China, and without the comfort of a “flatbed” seat.
She said she vomited in all three hotels and was very tired but the hardest was having to attend meetings etc where she knew she really couldn’t be sick. Food was also restricted - she ate a lot of rice!

Iam, it’s your defence of her which is puzzling, she is not a ‘ china doll’ and her job is not 24 hours a day. The visit to Australia was arrange because of the Invictus Games, they both knew this , Harry does the opening bit. They could have delayed the pregnancy but chose not too. Everyone in the public eye gets praise and critcism, you have critcised queenie for not hugging her son in public, she was of her generation and no female member of the royal family has been critcised more that queenie, even criticised as a mother, a sister, a mother in law. She has never spoken out, never courted the press, no woman should have had to take the flack she took by the press and public when Diana died because she put her grandchildren before the country .

Megan, didn’t have to go with Harry, she chose to, she can rest when she wants. She is not a shy, vunerable girl, she is very worldly, a woman who can do that walk down the aisle on her wedding day is no shrinking violet.

I do find them both to be attention seekers, the one I am concerned for is Harry. History is being repeated .

It continues to amaze me that there is so much unpleasantness directed by female posters here towards a young woman who is expecting her first child. No one is suggesting that Meghan is working in the kind of work most of us did. Her job is 24 hours a day currently, she's on a timetable that most of us would find taxing, at the same time as having every inch of her makeup, clothes, hair and attitude under critical scrutiny.
I know I'm a cracked record but leave the woman alone. gillybob, there are many women who do what you describe as "real work". Not many of them would readily swop places with Meghan. Would you? I wouldn't.

...and meanwhile in the real world, pregnant women do 36-40 hours “real work” 5 days a week until a few weeks before they give birth. They go home and do housework, cook dinner, wash up, fall into bed before getting up to do it all again.

There's no bar on women flying in early pregnancy, that I'm aware of. Pregnant air crew do it all the time and lots of pg women fly off on holiday. Also, Meghan won't be slumming it in economy, she'll have had every comfort available to her.

I think it's the flight in early pregnancy, perhaps not feeling great (not everyone does feel wonderful during pregnancy!) combined with jetlag.
