Exactly Jalima, I couldn’t care less what they do in their private lives but this clinging when working is undignified, they are not walking down a street looking in shop windows, they are on official duty .

Ha ha ha You couldn't be further from the truth River. We have the most tremendous battles ! Just as well DH is mostly out on site and I am in on my own otherwise we might kill each other. The problem is that he is an Engineer and not a business man, so hasn't got a clue about the administration, legislative or money side of things (always the lack of it). I hate my job (I wanted to work in a caring role) but have been thrust into it with no way out.

ps I couldn't work with DH, it's bad enough if he asks me to check any reports etc that he's done if I find any errors or think he should have worded something better

Jeez, if you could see DH and I at work anyone would think we were sworn enemies rather than a loving couple. One guy who used to work for us (now retired) used to put a hard hat on (as a joke) whenever we were in the office together

Getting back to the hand holding (sorry everyone!) I have thought about it, a bit but not a lot! and decided that hand holding is lovely when they're off duty.

Assad is a monster but it's as much about his English born wife, Asma. I began by admiring her attempts at reform while coping with his awful family but by the end was wondering whether her compliance was for her own and children's safety or a hardened attitude to the terrible acts being committed against the Syrian population.

As four our RF, I'm with you, the House of Windsor will do for me. As a more radical younger woman, I couldn't have imagined deciding I prefer what we have to becoming a republic, but there we are.
