I hope very much that the surgery goes well and that his recovery is speedy. Take heart - children are very resilient - and he will be showing off his special eye before you know it. What a time for you and your family to go through. Stay strong.

By the way, I am mind-blown that they can make it so his eyes move together - that is truly remarkable. Thank goodness for modern medicine and surgery.

Whar a lot you’ve all had to cope with, especially that little boy. Praying that surgery goes well today and that he’ll recover well. It must be hard when your husband can’t fully shoulder the emotional burden with you.

thank you so much for kind thoughts I see in first post mentioned eye would be removed in that instance they did whatever they do to try and save the valve but it didnt work and the eye has died so now will go. If all goes well his new eye went fitted in a few weeks acually moves like the other one how clever is that! Am off to bed now as husband is exhausted expect the world service on radio will come to rescue during the night. I will let you know tomorrow evening how things go and again thank you
