many thanks for all your kind thoughts. Today has been just awful the news just seems to get worse and we are being told the chances are not good. They are a long way from us as he is in a specialist hospital and we will go up tomorrow for the weekend so will update on return. I have to say knowing how much many of you have to deal with that your kind words have toughed me beyond words so thank you again

My heart goes out to you all. At my darkest hours in the course of Paws illnesses, the one thing that kept me going was my faith in the expertise of the highly qualified and experienced staff in the specialist hospitals. However bad things got - and they did - there was nothing they hadnt encountered or dealt with before so as God works through the caring hands of the doctors and nurses treating your DGS I hope and pray your worst fears will not be realised

What a dreadful time for you and your family Canary; its just all so damned unfair, isnt it. I hope that you have better news when you go tomorrow, but please know that so many are wishing you, and your Grandson, the very best and will be thinking of you.

mawBroon you were one of the ladies I as thinking of as I had read your posts and agree that all the staff are amazing and dedicated. Both the eye and heart staff are so kind when we ring and have helped the parents deal with this. They have a room to be able to stay and as they are 3 hours from home and us it is a godsend. What I started to say was in the midst of your sadness you have taken the time to comfort a stranger thank you so much every one of you

Its the very least we can do to let you know how much we are behind you during what sounds like the most terrible of times.

Canary what an awful time for you and your family. I’m glad you’re able to travel to be with them, you will all find comfort each other’s arms. Praying things will not develop as you fear they might. x

Canarygirl, my heart and thoughts are with you. ? Having experienced the pain of a tiny grandson with a terrible life threatening illness (he is doing well ❤️) and another close little one born only a week ago with very different life threatening issues I do so understand the heartbreak as you watch not only the little one struggling for life but the pain that your adult child suffers as a parent.

Even though we Grans are far distant just know that others do understand the terrible pain and the feeling of complete helplessness you are dealing with. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other. Sometimes it is just focussing on tiny steps that gets you through. ❤️

Canarygirl, all of our prayers will be with you, all through each and every day. As we are so scattered, someone will be praying at any time.
