Looking at it from what could be Andrews view. Eugenie is 9th in line, Anne’s children are 14th and 15th

The Yorks need to wise up and realise their sister / aunt aka P Anne had the better idea with the upbringing of her children - she enabled them to get on with their lives as, relatively, ‘nomal’ non-titled humans.

I will watch , I like weddings , happiness and posh frocks , that’s why I watch a wedding. Be it village church or St.George’s Chapel. Hope it doesn’t rain, just as I wish this for all weddings.

Andrew made his feelings clear when he made sure that his two daughters took the title of "princess" whereas Anne and Edward did not for their daughters. Andrew wants his children to be seen on the level of Charles's children - so what Harry had, Andrew wants. It may not be what Eugenie wants? Should have been something quiet and low key, not trying to copy Harry and Megan's day, complete with Hollywood stars flying in (George Clooney, again!)

What a lot of grumpy grannies!! A young couple are getting married. Surely good news. If you're interested, watch. If you're not don't.
And paddyann - what a chip you must have! Do you realise that Scotland receives at least £1,400 per person more each year than any other part of the UK? You really shouldn't try to create more division.

It hs had low key publicity really, but I expect on the day the streets in Windsor will be packed.
I quite like to see wedding dresses, but that’s all!

I won't be watching as I have a Pilates class at the time of the wedding, I will however record it as I love to see what every-one is wearing. (I usually watch This Morning)

I don't have an issue with Eugenie marrying at Windsor but I do think Andrew (& Fergie) are behind the attempt to outdo Harry & Meghan, I would have preferred to see a smaller "do", no need for people to be allowed into Windsor Castle precincts to watch (but as it is happening, good luck to those who will be there) & why a carriage ride? Looks like the weather is going to put a damper on things though. No repeat of the gorgeous sunny day for Harry & Meghan's Wedding.

I sense the father behind this. He's always had a chip on his shoulder about being the second son and doesn't miss a chance to have people stand on ceremony. He pushed for security to remain for his daughters when it was suggested it be removed due to cost.

Don't suppose Eugenie is very bothered one way or another.

Ok Eugene and Beatrice are not as popular as the rest of the young royals but I think you have to blame their Mother for that

Sick of hearing about it, had a disagreement with dh because he said she’s not a royal, well if her dads the queens son then she is the queens gd. Ok Eugene and Beatrice are not as popular as the rest of the young royals but I think you have to blame their Mother for that. She got it wrong.

Oh come on now, some of these excuses for not watching are rather feeble aren't they? I of course have the perfect excuse as I will be at work where we do not have a TV licence, which annoyed me something rotten during the world cup but obviously does has its benefits.

I would have watched it but unfortunately it clashes with the time that I set by to pick my toenails.

How many people can't be bothered to get out of bed to go to work then claim benefits
Or get out of bed to do a job on the side while claiming benefits
Or go to A &E or the Drs. for something they know is trivial and not go to the chemist for advice

Or silt their savings away enabling them to claim benefits

I never thought I would write a [post like this, but am I the only one to think that the world is being a bit unkind to this girl?
Weddings traditionally take place on the bride's home territory, so nothing odd about her being married in St G's Chapel. The presence of her grandparents, and significant uncles, and cousins accounts for the security, which we may think excessive but that's scarcely her fault. The bridesmaid and page in question are also closely related to her.
We can watch it, read about it as we like or not.

Whether or not you are a fan of the Royal Family a lot of the security costs will be in place because of other important members of RF : ie the Queen & Prince Philip plus the aunts and uncles and cousins of the bride. As Eugenie is a princess by birth her parents probably see this as natural for her to have the same kind of wedding as some of her cousins, and probably some of the smaller ones will be in the bridal procession too.
ITV are covering this as BBC apparently declined after weighing up the costs involved against probable viewing figures.
Princess Ann,s children were not in fact entitled to a title in their own right. As she married a commoner (Mark Philips) who was offered a title by the Queen which he declined, this meant his own children could not be titled. Children whose father's are princes are automatically titled, whereas in the case of a princesses' it depends on who they marry.
As for them living together for so long, well so did William and also Harry and Zara, this is what many couples do these days, and it's their choice just like many people do. I think once they all want to start a family it would be unacceptable by the RF to remain unmarried.
Just like any other bride I hope Eugenie and her husband to be have a lovely day, royal or not.

Charles wants to cut down on the number of royals who perform public duties and have just the direct line of the monarch , I think he is right, Andrew doesn’t , tough Andrew .

Anne, Andrew and Edward are direct line from queenie not their children.

William and Harry and Williams children are direct line from the heir to the throne ,Charles.

It’s the security that’s costing 2 mil. The Royal Family are paying for everything else. Maybe it will be good for American tourism? They love Fergie

DH is entitled to social care and personal savings are taken into account as to the amount of care you are entitled to receive from SS.Don't give up on what you are entitled to.

annsixty. Like yourself many have crosses to bear. The fact you are what appears to be in a desperate situation is not acceptable and there is help out there so what have you done to obtain this help? Your respite care has been withdrawn .Why?.

We are all blaming Eugenie but would there have been so much publicity and interest from the press if Harry and Meghan had not just got married there and they are just trying to sell news with all these articles.

I was surprised to learn that Peter Phillips and his wife were married there and most of the royal family but we didn't have all this fuss. I don't think it was televised.

She is the Queens granddaughter but I do think it is a feud between Andrew and Charles and Andrew wants what Charles children had.

I wish the marrying couple well, as I would any couple starting out on their married life.

I hope the wedding goes well. The security cost will be because of the guests attending, the queen, and other members of the royal family, not the bride and groom. She is the queens granddaughter as much as William and Harry are her grandsons. I will watch if I am at home but will catch it on the news.

It's going to be televised by ITV who are doing a special edition of This Morning and Eammon Holmes and Ruth Langsford are hosting it.
