Googling well known names to find out more.

I use google all the time to find out what other dramas actors have appeared in. You know the face but can't quite remember where you saw them.

You may already know that his nephew was married to Jane Seymour, who this year became the oldest woman, at 67, to pose for Playboy...

Oh yes. I google someone, then see they’re married to someone I’ve vaguely heard of, link to them and find they’re the auntie of a famous actor, and on we go...... It’s no wonder I can never follow a plot. The last one I googled was David Attenborough, just to see how old he is. Half an hour later I was still there.

I'm always googling for info on all sorts of stuff. In the last hour I've been doing research to find out who sings the version of 'Everybody's Talking' they used in the TV series Wanderlust.

Not often, but I did Google Matthew Macfadyen yesterday when I saw he was married to Keeley Hawes - I was surprised I hadn't know this previously - they have 2 children together and not tiny young ones either!
Also I couldn't remember the name of the series I recognised him from although I never missed an episode - it was Ripper Street.

My daughter and I googled Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters last year, because we both decided he was rather fanciable, and we hadn't known much about him until then.
We saw his beautiful wife in most of the info about him.

U googled Joanna Lumley after her Silk Road adventure, to find out how old she is. She's 72, and looking very good too.

I do huge amounts of research (when I get the time) on various people for Family Histories I'm compiling, so I'm always googling somebody or something. Although today it was my Maths teacher from school - someone on our school site said he had taught English and I feared that for years I'd been harbouring false memories, but no, he definitely taught Maths. Phew - thought I might have lost me marbles there!

I do this daily for all sorts of reasons if I want some back ground, to find out if the person is still alive! Etc. Last one was the late Roy Kinnear father of Rory Kinnear

I find myself somethines googling the names of actressess who are in the adverts for luxury perfumes. They always look so different when you see them in films.The lastest one is the girl from TheHunger Games films, Jennifer Lawrence she is always dressed in fighting gear in the films so to see her glammed up and wearing make up she looks quite different.

He was new to me too Terri . I am guilty of Googling middle aged/elderly actresses to see how old they are.

Today I looked up Rebecca Pritchard, ex-wife of the Salvage Hunter. Discovered that she is 60 years old (looks good but the programmes are old on Quest Red) and that she manages a good working relationship with Drew despite the divorce. Also read that he is barred from the local pub following a brawl with the indignant publican after he had an affair with his wife! I love the SH programmes which are my tea-time viewing most days.

Greyduster Antony Sher's autobiography "Beside Myself" is very interesting. He was given a knighthood, but nobody checked whether he was British so hasty adjustments to his citizenship were made (he was/is South African).

I Google people all the time, most recently I read up on Mark Douglas-Hume having read his Sea Detective novels. They're good, by the way.

Google is a good mediation tool in our house, saves lots of heated/animated discussions!!!!

I often do that - I think the last name I looked up was Dennis Nordern after he died recently. He had a long interesting life.
Another one I look up regularly is Kirk Douglas, he's 101 now! I used to think he was fantastic when I was young.

Yes what did we do before Google! It's a really useful tool for for finding out about newly launched actors, singers, etc. Plus some not so new.
