Perhaps he did Baggs - in touch with his feminine side etc.

So long as manspreading isn't excessive I think it's intolerant to object to it too much. Consider their anatomy.

I sat beside a slim young man on the bus today who was not manspreading but who still managed to take up more than half the seat for two. Fortunately I'm used to sitting with only about one and a half buttocks on seat and bracing my feet to prevent capsizes.

The young man seemed to be nursing his bag on his far side. I really wanted to ask him if he had a kitten inside it.

No Rufus not “on men” but some men of our acquaintance.
Please don’t be so touchy even in jest.
Women have endured for too long being patronised, condescended to, ignored, referred to as “‘Er indoors” “ the memsahib”, “ the little woman,” “ my dear” etc etc etc .
There is no excuse for “manspreading” in whatever attire under any circumstances, nor “mansplaining “, yet we have all suffered and that is not even mentioning more unpleasant or aggressive incidents.
I hope you are joking, but sadly I suspect there is an undercurrent of truth.
All I would add is a well known saying about kitchens and heat.

Washing up the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher - what madness is this?

Apparently it's now "Open Season" on men. shock We've had a regular series of disparaging threads about "men" starting from way back and recently dealing with mens' underdeveloped domestic skills like not washing up the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, not putting things away in their proper places, not rushing off to the GP with a cut finger and lately poor posture when seated wearing inappropriate shorts. And yet ladies knock back (apparently) free medical advice re: fat! without any male responses. Are we men or mice? Time to say our piece, men! grin
