We have always let our cats have the run of the house, although these two were kept in the kitchen till they were about 10 months old.

Like having naughty kids sometimes - but we wouldn't be without them! You are brave to allow them upstairs, I'm too scared of getting a 'present' in the middle of the night, so the living room door stays firmly shut! Like they say, a home without a cat is just a house.

Willow10 I have 2 Birmans, right little rascals, 15 months old. So sorry you lost your Willow. A dishcloth isn't the worst of it - one of them was sick on the bed the other night and I had to get up at 3am to remove the duvet cover before it soaked through. They are galloping around upstairs as I write. All I can hear is thundering hooves! GDs are coming after school today so they can have a play with them.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Grey and chilly in South Yorkshire this morning. Shame you couldn’t get any rabbit Mick, but venison is good too, cooked sloooooowly! DH has an eye test this morning and I was going to go with him and do shopping but my back did not stand up to a run out in the car yesterday so I am housebound for the moment. It is getting better but not fast enough for me. Have a good day, folks.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Rain for Mid Wales today.

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning Mick and everyone. Looking fine in Lancashire this morning. Best wishes to those waiting for a baby. A WI walk for me this morning.
Have a good day.

Auntieflo Fri 05-Oct-18 08:22:41

Morning Mick, Annie to come, and all other GN's.
Mck your venison stew sounds good, although I bet you still wish it was rabbit.
Our car is being taken off for it's service and MOT soon and then we are visiting a neighbour for a catch up. DH is off this afternoon, volunteering, and I will be slaving away over a hot iron.
Oldgoat, I love the thought of bidets finishing your walls, and hoping for all concerned that the expected babies arrive soon.
Have a good weekend one and all.

Willow10 Fri 05-Oct-18 08:21:20

Blue45Sapphire - thank your lucky stars it was only a dishcloth! ?How many cats do you have? I lost one recently ( Willow age 10 - hence my name). I still have Coco and a neighbours cat that prefers to play in my garden and appears twice a day for a supplementary feed. ?

harrigran Fri 05-Oct-18 08:14:56

Good morning, overcast this morning.
Harvest festival at the village church for GD2's school, we are attending but it is a 45 minute drive so will have lunch out when it is over.

oldgoat Fri 05-Oct-18 08:10:19

That'll be the builders not the bidets!

oldgoat Fri 05-Oct-18 08:09:04

Morning all.
It's a bit grey and gloomy here in York. Rain is forecast for later
Hope the bidets manage to finish the outside walls today because the roof is supposed to be going on on Monday.
kitty don't tell you DD but both my children were three weeks late arriving and then they had to be forcibly removed!
marydoll was it your old washing machine or the new one that flooded? Hope yo've got over the shock!
Have a restful weekend everybody.

Goodmorning all ??

Very misty/foggy here in SEEssex, meeting one of my DIL's for brunch down at the beach this morning. It will be nice to catch up with no GC, Husbands or siblings. I am very lucky as I met another DIL,for lunch earlier in the week.

I have decorator and brick layer here already, so hiding in bedroom.

Wishing you all have a peaceful day x

Pittcity Fri 05-Oct-18 07:55:40

Good morning from misty Colchester. Due to reach 21 degrees later.
Laundry and shopping today.

Blue45Sapphire Fri 05-Oct-18 07:55:24

Forgot to say I was woken up at 5.30 this morning by one of the cats coming up and dumping a very wet dishcloth on the bed!

Willow10 Fri 05-Oct-18 07:44:00

Good morning all. Looks like it's going to be another nice day in East Northants, before rain tomorrow. A bit of shopping to do and maybe a coffee. For those who are waiting, here's hoping the babies arrive safely soon! Why does time go so slowly when you are waiting and then whiz by after the event? Enjoy your day.

ginny Fri 05-Oct-18 07:33:24

Good morning. Another dull start but hopefully it will turn out sunny as it has most of the week.
Busy day preparing for going away tomorrow. Also delivering the cake I have made.
Hope the babies make an appearance soon. My friends baby arrived yesterday, a girl.

gillybob Fri 05-Oct-18 07:17:56

Good morning everyone x

NanKate Fri 05-Oct-18 06:51:21

Morning Mick and All.

Slowly getting lighter here in South Bucks.

All the cupboards and fridge fit to bursting as DS and DGSs are coming for the weekend. Like you Mary I will be worn out by the time of their departure, but it will be worth it.

What are those babies waiting for, come on get a move on ?

If there is a portion of your venison stew over please send it down the M40 to me Mick.

Blue45Sapphire Fri 05-Oct-18 06:45:37

Meant to say your venison casserole sounds lovely, Mick. I do something like venison bourguignon in the slow cooker with red wine and tinned tomatoes - sometimes it turns out like goulash!

kittylester Fri 05-Oct-18 06:45:35

I hope today goes well, nina. flowers

12Michael Fri 05-Oct-18 06:44:23

Thanks for the venison tip, I am using vegetable stock as opposed to beef or other stock
Mick

kittylester Fri 05-Oct-18 06:44:13

Morning all from a very dark North Leicestershire.

DD waddled her way round Sainsbury's yesterday predicting that she will still be here in 3 weeks!

Not much on the cards here today just some general pootling and faffing.

Theatre this evening to see Abigail's Party. This has been one of DH's favourite plans since it was a Play For Today (or something like that) and the tickets were a Father's Day present. Well probably go for a pizza before.

Enjoy your days everyone!

Blue45Sapphire Fri 05-Oct-18 06:42:54

Good morning all. Still very dark here in Northampton. Sainsbury's top-up shop this morning, having steak tomorrow and like to choose my own rather than have them pick it for home delivery, but coffee in M&S food first as I have free hot drink vouchers! GDs here for tea after school so a Bolognese is defrosting in the fridge. Lovely lunch out yesterday in good company.

ninathenana Fri 05-Oct-18 06:40:49

Morning everyone.

Foggy in Kent and we have early start to drive to SiL funeral. Will be odd as we haven't seen our niece and nephew since they were little ones.
Have a good day everyone.

Marydoll Fri 05-Oct-18 06:35:36

Morning, Gaga. smile
