My exotic car colour

Not now, but in the past I had a metallic purple car, which I loved. I followed that one with a yellow Polo. I've graduated to bigger cars since then but I adored my little ray of sunshine, especially on cold winter days.

Mine is metallic grey and not very exotic as it's called Urban Mist

We've had our new car a week and, after years of being sensible and having black, white or silver we ordered one in pearlescent Soul Red. I love it!

I read many years ago that the beigish cars were the most likely to be in an accident - not being bright enough to be noticed. That safest colour was I think yellow.

Mine is bright blue, although it is quite a common car colour.

My first car was an old Morris Minor Convertible (It cost me £45 in 1969!) I was seventeen and had only been driving for three weeks when I had an accident which nearly wrote the car off. Fortunately my brother was a mechanic and he replaced wings etc for me. When it came to the respray I chose canary yellow!

My friends called it the Flying Peanut!

I bought a new Rover 75 when they came out......I ordered the black paint, called "Raven Black" with the Chrome pack, chrome door handles and cups, sill covers, wing mirrors and walnut and cream leather steering wheel and gear knob, cream upholstery.............I loved it...Much different to my £250 mini metro.

I had a metallic lilac car which I loved but, even though fairly new, it was most unreliable.

Yesterday I saw a cream car with a cerise pink roof - lovely!

In the late 70s we had corset pink Renault 5 with a basketwork lining to the roof. Cool ?

Years ago, I had a VW beetle. I can only describe the colour as Jaffa Orange. She was beautiful.

My first car was a Austin Maxi in a not so lovely shade. I can't remember what they called it but think babies nappies !

DS has a new car described as "Saturday White Fever.

My car is attract yellow pearl.
The drawback is everyone recognises it in my town!

Marydoll that's the problem with a yellow car - people saying 'I noticed you were at so-and-so's yesterday,' or 'you were out early/late the other day' and so on.

Ninathenana our first company car was also that...er...interesting colour! A Morris 1100, I think, and we had no choice of colour. We had a newborn baby at the time - very appropriate!
