Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark , bit of a light frost on the ground, seems funny going out, its mild in the day, but can sometimes have the chill in the air,
Brackley wise today, I fancy a rabbit stew over weekend so I am looking where I can it as diced meat or on the bone.
Mick

Good morning all from a grey but dry corner of N Bucks.
Feeling a bit washed out after a surprise visit to Birmingham yesterday to have coffee and lunch with DD and then collect the boys from school. Missed DGD as she was in nursery and was sorry to miss her, but nice to see the boys (8 and 6) .
Then we took DGS1 to his ballet class at the Hippodrome before I got the train home.
Exciting to be backstage at the Hippodrome but as nothing compared with my excitement and granny pride that he has been chosen to dance in the Royal Ballet “Nutcracker” this Christmas.
A neighbour’s funeral today to bring me down to Earth. It is the first I have gone to since DH died last year so I am apprehensive, but owe it to his wife and family.

Good morning.

The sun is just starting to shine now, after a grey start. Not sure how bright it's going to stay, though. At least it's not as windy.
I had rabbit stew as a child. It was a very similar taste to chicken, if memory serves me right.
Hope your back feels a bit easier today, greyduster and your foot, cornergran, and that all the babies due arrive safely!
Enjoy your day. ?

A late good morning from a rather cloudy Birmingham. Have been up since 6.30, but don’t seem to have achieved much! A bit more tidying up and sorting today so I am ready for my operation on the 25th, including booking a housekeeper for afterwards. I think the time has come to put away my summer dresses too, and get out my autumn wardrobe.

So glad you got a good night's sleep ann - I was only up with OH twice - so that is good too.

Hoping to get to sewing group this morning all being well; and I have to nip to opticians this afternoon for new glasses. Let's hope I like them - can't see them when I am trying them on! And my choir will come here to practice tonight.

Slightly dull here - but a hint of blue sky to be seen. Fingers crossed.

Good morning all.
A damp one in Stockport, but brighter in other ways, my H slept for about 11 hours, I had to wake him before the carer came. He is currently in the shower.
I love a good rabbit stew and always put just a tsp of curry powder in it.
I haven't had one for ages it seems very rare now.
Such excitement waiting for new babies.
No more here until GGC arrive and that ,hopefully, is some way off.

Alygran Wed 03-Oct-18 08:29:36

Good morning everyone.
Grey and chilly here today. Bit of shopping this morning then a Trustees meeting late this afternoon in preparation for our AGM next week.
Hope the bad backs and sore feet etc. are better soon and the babies are safely delivered.

Nana3 Wed 03-Oct-18 08:23:04

Good morning, rain this morning in Lancashire but the weather forecast says the sun will come out this afternoon.
DH enjoys rabbit he cooks it with black olives. Watch out for tiny bones.
A friend is coming for a cup of tea this morning, I'm looking forward to it.
Have a good day everyone.

Greyduster Wed 03-Oct-18 08:21:49

Thankyou, corner; sounds like we wouldn’t make a good ‘un between us today! Hope your foot feels better soon!

Auntieflo Wed 03-Oct-18 08:20:30

Morning Mick, Annie to come and all others. I used to love rabbit stew when I lived at home and mum would make one. Haven't had it for years though, and now quite fancy some.
Nothing planned for today, just make it up as I go along and see what happens. Lovely to hear about the new babies due, so hope we will be getting the good news soon.
It's brightening up nicely here, so maybe we are in for another lovely day.
Have a good one folks.

Marydoll Wed 03-Oct-18 08:19:29

Granny Gravy, I know exactly how you feel about the builders. I spent a lot of time upstairs or in our local shopping mall!.
It will be worth it in the long run. grin

GrannyGravy13 Wed 03-Oct-18 08:05:27

Good morning all from a very odd part of SE Essex, black clouds to the back of the house, and sunny to the front, not sure if they are coming or going?

I shall be barricading myself in my bedroom until it's time for my Callanetics class later. The builders are making some progress, but have a long way to go.

How exciting waiting for baby news.

Hope you all have a pleasant day.

cornergran Wed 03-Oct-18 07:59:26

Morning Mick, Morning All. Bright sunny start to the day. Careful with your back greyd. I’m walking carefully, foot still swollen, now where’s the shoe that will fit? Tense time for those waiting on baby news. Take care all.

ginny Wed 03-Oct-18 07:55:13

Bother !
From a young friend who went in last night to have her second baby.

Greyduster Wed 03-Oct-18 07:54:33

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Mick I love a good rabbit stew; send some this way! A dull day in South Yorkshire. I managed to put my back out yesterday so was pretty much immobile. I am hoping that when I eventually get out of bed, things might have improved. I’m not in any tearing hurry to find out though! Have a good day folks.

ginny Wed 03-Oct-18 07:54:08

Good morning from a dull N. Bucks.
Yoga this morning. Craft club this afternoon , my turn to organise the project which is now all prepared. Also need to finish the felt ‘stickman’ I am making for DGS.
Hope all goes well with the new babies . I’m waiting to hear f

Willow10 Wed 03-Oct-18 07:52:08

Good morning all, its quite mild here in East Northants. I'm off to an archery session this morning followed by coffee and a chat with the other lady archers. Couldn't stomach rabbit stew as a child either - in fact I can't eat meat at all now! Hope it's a good day for everyone.

Marydoll Wed 03-Oct-18 07:49:40

Good morning all, it's damp in Glasgow. The heating is going full blast and it's so cosy I don't want to leave the house. My father loved rabbit stew , Mick, but I too couldn't stomach it. He ate it a lot during the war, when meat was scarce.
DIL's car is going into the garage this morning, waiting to see if I need to go and pick up her and DGD if it's going to be a long business.
Kitty and Brunette, I hope you have news soon.

aggie Wed 03-Oct-18 07:24:34

Morning all , not much light coming round the edge of the curtains this morning . DS has got a personalised number plate , causing much hilarity amongst his siblings

gillybob Wed 03-Oct-18 07:19:28

Good morning everyone.

I couldn’t eat rabbit to save my life . The very thought of it...... yuk (sorry Mick) .
School, runs, then work, then school runs again for me today.

Have a good Wednesday everyone.

Pittcity Wed 03-Oct-18 07:18:55

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. Temperature is back in double figures overnight and quite warm in the afternoons. Still watering the garden regularly.
I love rabbit stew with pearl barley. Haven't had it for yonks as nobody else here shares my taste.
Usual Wednesday coffee meet up in town this morning followed by a bit of retail therapy.

Blue45Sapphire Wed 03-Oct-18 07:18:27

Good morning everyone. Grey and cloudy in Northampton today. A few jobs to do around the house this morning, then a health walk around the local forest this afternoon followed by a nice cup of tea at the garden centre.

Gagagran Wed 03-Oct-18 07:14:23

Hope there's good news on the new babies front!

Gagagran Wed 03-Oct-18 07:13:45

Morning Mick and everyone

It looks like another sunny day is in store for us here on the south coast but it is chilly early and late, as you say Mick.

We have had rabbit a lot in France and always enjoyed it. I used to buy it in Tesco but they don't seem to have it these days. It's a big favourite of DH.

Off to the hairdresser this morning, ready for the choir team photograph this evening, which will then go on our website. The decorator is coming at 5pm to look at our hall and stairs which needs some colour adding.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine
