Morning Mick, morning all!
It's chilly in north Leicestershire.
I am helping at the local Alzheimer's Memory Walk today and really don't feel up to it but, apparently, 50% of volunteers just don't turn up. So paracetamol have been taken!!
Enjoy your days everyone!
Morning everyone. Enjoy the walk. There is a research trial at Imperial college that I am going to try to sign up for. A new anti Alzheimer's drug.
Good Morning Mick, kitty and everyone.
It's rather chilly here on the south coast but a very clear sky so I think we shall sunshine again in this lovely Autumn weather.
Today we are assembling our new Ektorp sofa and chairs so put your fingers in your ears if you are of a delicate disposition. There may be some expletives. Generally we have manage IKEA assemblage very well so long as I act my role as apprentice to the full.
Hope you feel better for the paracetamol and fresh air kitty. I thought you were going to say that 50% of volunteers forget to turn up!
Have a good day folks.
Morning Mick, morning All. It’s a grey start in our corner of Somerset, need a top up food shop and there’s a mountain of bed clothes to iron. I’m hoping Mr C will volunteer for that, he often does. Hope you’re OK today kitty, good luck with the furniture gaga. Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.
Good morning Mick and all. It's a chilly start here in Glasgow, but it's dry. that's the important thing.
My DH is painting the kitchen ceiling today, so it's certainly not going to be a relaxing day.
.
I have to give a speech at a presentation in front of a lot of people and I am a bag of nerves, kept waking up with the speech going through my head.
Kitty, I hope you feel better as the day goes on, I have a friend who is doing the walk with her family.
Gaga, good luck!!1
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is struggling this morning and it is very chilly in South Yorkshire, but we are off to watch Junior play football, and then, apparently, to ride behind the miniature steam trains that run around the local woods. Great fun for all ages! Happy Sunday, folks.
Morning everyone.
Deffinite nip in the air this morning in Kent. Yesterday was so warm and sunny we had the patio door open.
I have to drive 20 miles to exchange a jacket I bought which was on the wrong hanger and is 3 sizes too small. That will teach me to check !!
kitty hope you feel better soon and the walk goes well.
Good Morning , another grey chilly one ! I have to return a pair of trousers , why did I ever think "slim leg " was for me ? I look like Max Wall ................... if you remember him pretend you don't
Morning All
A bright start here in Norfolk with clear skies and it’s very cold!
Yesterday’s party for DGS’s fifth birthday was a great success. Too much food left over, but otherwise everything went with a swing thanks to a friend running things. He’s a swimming instructor and has the voice and charisma needed! DGS didn’t stop bouncing! 25 four and five year olds behaved perfectly - only a couple of the older cousins ended up sulking in tears. I’ve left a coat at DS’s house and gained a kitchen knife but otherwise all seems to have ended up where it should!
Today, I shall be doing Not a Lot! (Maybe a bit of light weeding.)
Morning everyone from a beautiful sunny but very cold day in Fife. Had DGS for an overnight stay last night so he was just a little angel. Slept all night, had breakfast and now entertaining him. Lots of fun. Whatever the weather and activities today I hope everyone has a great day. Enjoy!
Morning Mick and All this sunny but cold morning in South Bucks.
Sorry you are feeling unwell Kitty make sure you take plenty of water with you. I find keeping myself hydrated helps.
I’m sure all will be fine Mary. Best advice I was given on presentations ‘Keep it shorter than anyone dared hope’. ?
Glad you managed to get your map Mick.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
My younger granddaughter is calling today, highlight of my week.
Hope everyone has a pleasant day x
Good morning. Sunshine with a nip in the air.
Really enjoying this weekend with ‘the girls’. So much fun, laughter and friendship.
Get well soon all who are under par.
aggie - the Max Wall image of your breeks made me laugh !
I've lost my voice due to a having a cold but managed a hearty laugh !
Good morning everyone.
Have a lovely Sunday x
Good morning from a crisp and sunny corner of N Bucks.
My iPad has installed updates and there are a couple of changes to the keyboard so if the odd? appears I apologise.
Merry Wives was wonderful, truly funny and very very clever.
If you read this before you go to the Errol Flynn, bluesapphire I hope you enjoy your film too. ( We should meet up sometime - check your pm’s)
Nipping down to London to see SIL’s private view and Flynn (but not necessarily in that order)
Wishing all a pleasant and productive day!
Good morning from an overcast NE.
GD enjoyed the party last night, after we dropped her off we got a phone call to ask if we would return with her phone as she had left it in the house. Grandad being the kind soul that he is jumped in the car and returned to the party with the mobile.
The party was in the golf clubhouse, brilliant idea when 40 thirteen year olds are together.
Today we have to get on with homework, I will be helping with her Spanish vocabulary.
Good morning everyone from Northampton. A sunny day here but not poked my nose out yet to test the temperature. Reading the Sunday papers then off to the cinema this afternoon to see the new film 'The Wife.' Got lots of gardening done yesterday while following the rugby on my phone, very exciting match but Northampton Saints prevailed, beating Bristol 45 - 40.
Glad you enjoyed the Shakespeare, Maw. Looking forward to the film this afternoon. Will check my pms.
Good morning all from a sunny East Northants. This has to be one of the nicest Autumns for a long time! Gagagran, I put together a 3-seater Ektorp sofa by myself - the hardest bit was getting it out of the box!
I hope you are pleased with it, I am. Enjoy your day everyone.
Good morning from sunny Colchester. Warming up a little after the heating kicked on earlier.
I have hung out the washing and watered the pots...no rain here for a while.
Roast beef this afternoon.
Slim leg is not for me either Aggie and a few of my pairs seem to have shrunk in the wardrobe!!
Morning Mck, Annie, and all GN's. It is another lovely bright and sunny day here. I am hoping for a beautiful Indian summer during October.
This is my second attempt, internet went down and I wondered why my message wouldn't post. There were only 9 messages then!
All is now well it seems.
Kitty, enjoy your walk, and get better soon.
Gagagran, good luck with the sofa, and hope there are no screws left over.
Annie, enjoy your GD's visit.
After church, we are going to DD for lunch, and my DGS has been home from London, so a big cuddle will be due, nice. Enjoy your Sunday everyone.
Good morning, the autumn colours are lovely in Lancashire, there is a chill in the wind now.
I will be alone all day, usually a good thing but I'm fretting over the sale of my parent's home, I grew up there from 1950 when it was built. It was a spacious, clean council house and to my parents it was a palace.
Enjoy your day everyone.
Good Morning to you all!
