Good morning everyone.
It's bright and sunny in my bit of Northumberland, but chilly. My heating came on, and the thermostat is only set at 16°. Grandson 1 stayed overnight and is enjoying his breakfast in the living room!
Wish i could have made the Edinburgh meet up, but childminding duties have got in the way.
Have a great day everyone.

Mapleleaf Fri 28-Sept-18 08:47:34

Good morning.

It's a beautiful, bright morning here, but definitely cooler, as the heating is still on.

Lovely to be getting a new car, Kitty. I'm getting ready for a newer one, but the present one will have to keep going for a while longer yet!

Hope you soon get to grips with your new car, NanKate. They always feel strange for a while, don't they?

Good luck, Annie with the phone call about Fred.

Enjoy your day, everyone. ?

GrannyGravy13 Fri 28-Sept-18 08:40:09

Good morning folks x

Bright and sunny outside my bedroom window, but cloudy out front.

Hopefully no drilling or kangoing today, just a plasterer so should be quieter.

Have fun in Edinburgh ☕️??

Anniebach Fri 28-Sept-18 08:27:11

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Kitty, new car, exciting. I hope for a phone call today with advice about Fred.

Hope all have a good day x

Morning All, grey here today where’s our lovely blue sky gone?!
Going out soon and a busy day to come so 5 mins on here and a quick shower.

Willow10 Fri 28-Sept-18 08:19:39

Good morning everyone. Late up this morning after another very uncomfortable night. I might have to resort to the Nytol! At least it's dry and sunny in East Northants. Ten pin bowling with the U3A and a gp appointment today. Enjoy your Edinburgh meet up and have a good day all.

Alygran Fri 28-Sept-18 08:13:18

Good morning. Bright and sunny here in North Yorkshire again.
Lovely walk at the arboretum yesterday, autumn is here!
Macmillan coffee morning in town this morning so an opportunity to see some friends.
Enjoy the meetup in Edinburgh, perhaps next time.
Have a good day everyone.

gillybob Fri 28-Sept-18 08:10:52

Good morning everyone. I was so looking forward to a day away from “that place” chatting with the lovely Grans in Edinburgh, about something else rather than work. Sadly not to be. Hope you all have a lovely time. smile

I agree with you about the head teachers and the NHS Harri there was probably a LA contingency hiding in a back room too. wink Funds are obviously not short for the important things, like conferences in fancy country house hotels.

Auntieflo Fri 28-Sept-18 08:10:29

Typos, again. I really should Preview before posting.

Auntieflo Fri 28-Sept-18 08:09:40

Good morning Mick, Annie to come and all others.
Grey start to the day here, but dry. Hospital appointment this morning, when I shall find out what they have in store for me. Then shoppng later.
I made some muffins yesterday afyernoon, and they were a disaster. I don't know why, as they are such easy things to make. I'm blaming the baking powder! Anyway, they ended up in the bin, and not at my neighbours as I had planned.
Have a good day one and all.

NanKate Fri 28-Sept-18 08:07:44

Morning Mick and All.

Temperatures seem to have dropped about 10 degrees since yesterday.

Marydoll , Brunette and all the Edinburgh gang have a wonderful day and enjoy your get together. We want all the details tomorrow.

What fun Kitty collecting your new car. DH collects our nearly new car next month and I am trying to think of quiet places where I can practise driving it. I never used to get nervous about driving a different car but I do now.

Have a good day folks.

Greyduster Fri 28-Sept-18 08:07:29

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining here but it is decidedly cooler. Food shopping for us this morning and then I am going to make French onion soup - time consuming but delicious. Have a good day, folks.

harrigran Fri 28-Sept-18 08:01:26

Good morning, beautiful this morning but obviously cooler than the last few days.
Had lunch out yesterday and then a drive out into the countryside to look at a rather nice hotel we are thinking of visiting. Was disgusted to see that a local NHS authority were having a gathering there and then saw a notice to say that an LEA were having a meeting of head teachers. When the NHS is crying out for funds managers should not be swanning around country house hotels, what is wrong with their own office blocks ?
Head teachers should be behind their desks during term time surely and why every head teacher from one northern town ?

Pittcity Fri 28-Sept-18 07:56:16

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Cooling down here after a brief return to Summer.
A quiet day here with no firm weekend plans....I should've gone to Edinburgh....

aggie Fri 28-Sept-18 07:54:00

Morning all , dry bright and cold here . Art this am , I get a lift with lovely younger friend and we have great chat there and back

NfkDumpling Fri 28-Sept-18 07:37:05

Morning All

There was a wonderfully colourful sunrise here in Norfolk this morning. I fear it means summer is over. Not too chilly yet though.

I’m now about to cook a large batch of mini cheese straws for DGS’s fifth birthday party tomorrow. Then buy prizes for the games I seem to be in charge of. Numbers have grown and they’re now hiring the Scout Hut and calling in help. This is a one off occasion. Next year it’s take a friend to the zoo. I’m too old for all this!

Brunette10 Fri 28-Sept-18 07:36:45

Good Morning everyone from bright and sunny Fife. Have to get organised fairly early today for meet up in Edinburgh. So looking forward to it. Thanks for update Marydoll and so glad that trains are back to normal. Have a great day to everyone.

Blue45Sapphire Fri 28-Sept-18 07:07:32

Good morning from a grey day here in Northampton. Am desperate for my usual tea and toast but not allowed anything as I have a fasting blood test at 9.30! I shall go straight to the little teashop in the village afterwards and have a welcome coffee and something to eat! Out to lunch with friends today so better not have to much this morning! Found a couple of sofas I like in MK yesterday, shall have to get daughter to help me choose.

ninathenana Fri 28-Sept-18 07:02:25

Morning all.

Don't know what the weather is like as I haven't opened the curtains yet.
Been awake coughing for a couple of hours. Do I get up or roll over ?
Weekly shop later and a coffee out, not much else planned.
Have a good day everyone especially those going to Edinburgh.

Marydoll Fri 28-Sept-18 06:58:57

Good morning Mick and all.
Dry here in Glasgow, with a beautiful red sky.
I too am up early and off to Edinburgh, it's a two hour journey for me, but so worth it. As Old Goat says, it's always a memorable meet up.
I was looking forward to meeting Gilly again and so disappointed for her.
Brunette, the trains are all back on and I shall meet you as planned! smile

ginny Fri 28-Sept-18 06:51:30

Good morning. No sign of the sun just yet in N. Bucks but not bothered as I’m off on a crafting ‘girls ‘ weekend. This is our 8 th year and always great fun.
Enjoy your weekends everyone.

oldgoat Fri 28-Sept-18 06:39:58
