Good morning everyone. The rain has just started and the sky is looking very ominous and darker than when I first got up. sad
Corner, my sore throat has now left me hoarse. There will be shouts of joy in our house today, as DH enjoys the peace! I hope you feel better soon.
Old Goat, I hope the building inspector approves. Despite my worries, our building inspector turned out to be a very nice man, who not only SIGNED off the extension, but was SINGING it's praises! wink
NFK, good luck today.
I hope everyone's boilers problems are resolved quickly, I can't bear being cold.❄

Morning Mick, morning All from a bright but very windy corner of Somerset. The brightness is all outside as there’s a sore throat and ear pain with all over achey-ness in Corner-land. Worse things I know but after little sleep for me I’m fairly grumpy. Mr C has slept soundly and so is blissfully unaware of what is to come. Please wish him luck. Keep safe everyone.

Morning All

It was cloudy in Norfolk first thing, but is now brightening and still feels unseasonably warm.

I’m off to the hospital for a ‘routine’ endoscopy this morning, so only water for breakfast. My tum is feeling severely neglected.

Morning all.
Dry and fairly bright this morning in York. Day three of our building project and the building inspector is coming to check out the footings before the arrival of the cement lorry. I'm sure I'm too old to be getting excited about big machinery.

Off to my new painting class today. Can't wait, as I've been told great things about the teacher.

Have a good day everyone

Morning Mick, kitty and everyone!

It's dull and overcast here on the south coast and we are forecast strong winds later.

The plumber finally turned up to look at our CH at 6pm last night. He serviced the boiler in July and we had not tried it (apart from the Hot Water which works fine) until Saturday night.

Despite consulting Dr Google, DH could not get the CH to turn on. Apparently we need a new thermostat/control panel in the hall, which we are to get and he will fit. He did, however, show DH how to do something with the receiver unit to turn on the CH manually. The unit model we have now is apparently out of stock everywhere on the internet. Hey ho!

Have a good day folks!

Morning Mick, morning all!

It's dry and windy in North Leicestershire this morning.

Boiler service booked in this morning and school run in Derby this afternoon and home to an empty house as dh will be at the football.

Enjoy your days everyone.
