A Melb. radio station recently postulated that if your local Council said you were an EP, and it would create a statue in your honour, whilst you're still alive, what form would you prefer, e.g. standing, sitting, on horseback etc.,; where would you put it and what inscription would suit you? One lady suggested putting her husband's statue on the pavement outside his favourite pub, but that was ruled out of order because of Council's attitude towards the demon drink. 
I think I'd go for the local railway station; plenty of viewers, but no idea of my inscription yet.
Annie and Jalima: As you know, I recently confirmed, at the cost of half a glass of quality S.A. shiraz that it doesn't do a keyboard much good. We gave it it's last rites yesterday (private ceremony). 
The new one is playing me up and should have said "where is Welsh used usefully? Brings to mind the saying "what use is Latin" apart from some aspects of medicine and Oxbridge scholars. Some say it teaches English spelling, I say learn spelling by reading e.g. books written in English and listen to your English teacher. I suppose you can get Welsh grammar books; but probably not on e-Bay!

That was clever of you to refer it to Dr.Google. but not being at all religious I've no idea where that came from; not me, although I endorse the sentiment. I've no idea what that has to do with Newcastle and Geordies, but hope springs eternal!

Unless it's a leg-pull, it should be safe for my ears! 
Grannyactivists; We now get very frequent "flypasts" by maggies. It's their fun season whilst protecting their nesting areas, but more like Stuka dive-bombers hitting their targets, creating more damage than simple poop!

I was simply saying that they were incoherent (to me anyway) and there was no way you could tell when or what they were swearing. Almost as bad as the Welsh when they turned on their own lingo!

One man's 'freedom fighter' is another man's 'terrorist' and so it goes for 'Eminent' people. Not sure I would make the cut - now, if there was a prize for being attorney in the side of some eminent people I might be in with a chance!
Meant to add that I am such an "eminent person" that I am honoured with a fly past at least once a year.

I’m a Geordie Ruf so those sights are very familiar to me . I remember you saying a while back you worked/served time with some Geordies and couldn’t understand the lingo .
I suppose if I did have to have a statue I would be a faceless woman looking out to sea with a basket of seaglass in her hand .
