Rufus I don't know how that Islamic blessing came to appear in your quote from the title of an article from a north-east England news site, either, and if I were you I would be a teeny bit worried about how it was inserted and whether someone had access to the computer you use for your postings.

It doesn't appear in the source code for that news page, which I thought may have been "got at" to spread it around. I've nothing against spreading a blessing or two, from any religion, but things appearing from nowhere is a bit odd.

Some say it teaches English spelling, I say learn spelling by reading e.g. books written in English and listen to your English teacher. I suppose you can get Welsh grammar books; but probably not on e-Bay!

Annie and Jalima; Sorry, but neither of you have answered the question. I know that the Welsh language exists (just look at the road signs) and I know I wasn't very smart, Jalima, in not checking e-Bay first, but all the countries listed by Annie have universal as well as national application.

Rufas, Wales is a country , Welsh is an official language of the UK, in Wales some choose to speak English some choose to speak Welsh , some choose to do both. Some who moved here choose to learn to speak Welsh .

When some choose to visit other countries they learn the language , visitors to Wales can choose to learn Welsh.

Rufus2 Welsh is used wherever Welsh people are. Didn't you know, we all speak English usually. Only use Welsh when the English, Scots or Irish are around.
