Annie, thank heavens you are here. You weren't when I wrote my post, thaen I hadn't seen you, till now, when I went looking. I was going to send out a search party smile.
Have you been out on Fred Yet?

NanKate Mon 17-Sept-18 12:58:19

Morning Mick and All.

Late calling in as I woke with a sick migraine so am just taking it easy in sunny Buckinghamshire. Just listened to a short meditation for those feeling off colour and I feel surprisingly better after it.

Hope your throat is feeling better soon Mary perhaps once it is lubricated you will feel better.

Have a good week folks.

I lived in W S Mare for 2 years DoraMarr and after 20 years I still miss Somerset! If I wasn't on my own I would go back tomorrow.

I'm a U3A member B9 - great way to meet new friends! I've tried various activities but settled on 10 pin bowling, which I've loved since I was a teenager.

It's grey and breezy in Nottingham. I've been up for hours but have been faffing about with things. Lunch with my sister-in-law later

But the happy feeling it instills in the person living with dementia is well worth while!

GrannyGravy13 Mon 17-Sept-18 10:13:49

Good morning all

Bright, sunny and warm in SE Essex, off to the gym for 1 1/2 of huffing and puffing, I think it is doing me good!!

B9 it's hard visiting a loved one with dementia, much more draining for the people who are visiting.

B9exchange Mon 17-Sept-18 09:27:28

Thank you Willow. Thought she might like an orchid too, to make her room look a bit more homely though of course we are banned from saying that.

Anyway I might have hijacked this thread a bit, hope you feel better soon Aggie, enjoy your boat trip NannyJ, hope the rain holds off for you!

Good morning to all U3A members!

DoraMarr Mon 17-Sept-18 09:24:06

Good morning everyone! A glorious start followed by heavy cloud this morning on the Somerset coast. There’s a sonnet this sort of morning reminds me of “Full many a glorious morning have I seen..”
My youngest child’s birthday today, and I think she wants to go to the zoo. She’s 33.

Difficult day B9 - lovely idea to take the photo album. flowers

Morning everyone. Not a typical day for me, two and a half hour drive each way to see DH's aunt who is in her nineties, now stuck in a wheelchair, though she believes she can walk (she can't even stand up) and suffers from dementia. Don't really know what to take, apart from a photo album of our family, all named, so she can look at it later, and perhaps a sinful box of chocs. She wants to go home, but her DD says this is impossible (she is obviously right, would need two full time carers 24 hours a day) and we have been banned from talking about it. Growing old can be horrible.

I will be glad when it is Tuesday! smile

harrigran Mon 17-Sept-18 08:53:24

Good morning from a sunny NE.
Gentle housework today, tidying GD's bedroom and cleaning her bathroom.
Looks like it is going to be a lovely day weather-wise.

Brunette10 Mon 17-Sept-18 08:39:59

Welcome Blue45Sapphire and enjoy!

Willow10 Mon 17-Sept-18 08:37:33

Only from the machine Auntieflo and of course you have to buy something. But I do love their cappuccino! I top it up with hot water when I get home and really enjoy it. I buy it in the cafe once a week when meeting friends, but it never tastes as good.

Morning everyone from Fife, it's sunny at the moment but rain soon to arrive I believe. Late today, had very restless night and hardly slept, too much going on in my mind! Some shopping to be done this morning and some ironing - joy! Hope you all have a good day whatever you end up doing.

MawBroon Mon 17-Sept-18 08:22:53

Good morning from N Bucks, cooler and breezy but looks set to warm up again.
Very tired, yesterday was lovely but full on and so quiet when everybody had gone. Hattie and I dozed in front of the TV , she enjoyed watching the sheepdogs on Countryfile while I still failed to work out who the baddies are on Bodyguard!

Auntieflo Mon 17-Sept-18 08:20:35

Good morning Mick, Annie to come and all here and to follow. It's a dull grey start to the day here, and nothing planned, yet, except a bit of tidying up.
Can you still get free coffee in Waitrose Willow?
Have a good day one and all

Anniebach Mon 17-Sept-18 08:16:50

I am going to play scrabble today ?

Greyduster Mon 17-Sept-18 08:09:54

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Muggy and grey in South Yorkshire this morning. We are having a quiet day today after a houseful yesterday. We are also going on a diet!! GS has after school football today so we will be picking him up later than usual. Have a happy day folks.

Willow10 Mon 17-Sept-18 08:08:08

Good morning everyone from a grey but very mild East Northamptonshire. A restless night because it was so warm, dreaming about holidaying in the Bahamas of all things. It was nothing like I thought it would be so I might give that destination a miss! (As if I'll ever get further than Torquay!) grin My day consists of a mooch around the sales and a Waitrose (free) coffee. Enjoy your day!

NannyJan53 Mon 17-Sept-18 07:51:30

Good Morning all from a damp but very warm Black Country.

Canal boat trip with U3A today, with a stop off for a pub lunch smile

Pleased the suitcase has turned up Marydoll , and yes I always seem to come back from a holiday with some kind of lurgy! Hope you feel better soon.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Pittcity Mon 17-Sept-18 07:46:15

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Very warm overnight, 18 degrees at present and forecast mid twenties today.
Back to Walking Netball after Summer break. Great fun but I have been lazy so will feel so unfit!

ginny Mon 17-Sept-18 07:38:31

Good morning. A dull start in N. Bucks and quite a breeze.
A day at home for me. Washing, ironing and lots of sorting out to do.

Gagagran Mon 17-Sept-18 07:08:38

Good Morning everyone! It's a cloudy, mild start to the day here on the south coast.

I am going to the library and to do a bit of shopping this morning then ironing.

We are hoping the plumber gets in touch today after failing to reach him over the weekend. He serviced the boiler a few weeks ago and although the hot water is working , the CH isn't. Not that we need it on just yet but "Be prepared" is my motto!

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

gillybob Mon 17-Sept-18 07:02:21

Good morning Mick,Mary,Kitty, Nina and all to follow.

So glad the suitcase has turned up intact Marydoll I hope you feel better soon.

Usual Monday morning feeling for me. School runs, then that place. The children are staying with me a few nights to fit in with DDiL’s shifts.

Have a good Monday everyone.
