its tiny but half an hour and a coffee afterwards is a bit of something productive.

Good idea, Oldbatty. Gardening is good for restoring the equilibrium (unless, that is, you have a garden like mine!!).

Good Morning and thanks for all your kind wishes yesterday.

Husband is otherwise occupied today so may do some gardening whilst he is not fussing about.

Lovely sunny day in Teddington, but car says 9.5 degrees! Upholstery class this morning then tidying up at home. Hope you all have a good day and that Kitty's new grandchild waits for a bit before joining the world.

Good morning all from a sunny SE Essex.

Off to take D to hospital follow up appointment this morning, she is doing so well.

Then back to take GS to dentist.

Oh and Husband and I are off to a lovely fish restaurant this evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary ?? (we got married on Friday 13th!!) 27 years married (living together for 35)

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Chilly though. Off to the Gransnet meetup in Wanstead today.

harrigran Thu 13-Sept-18 08:32:47

Good morning, dry and calm this morning.
DH is taking my sister and BIL to the airport as they are flying home after almost four weeks in the UK.
I usually stay at home, dislike airport goodbyes, especially at our age.
Good luck for the meeting gilly.
Hope DD is okay kitty.

Auntieflo Thu 13-Sept-18 08:22:31

Morning Mick, Annie to come, and all. It's a beautiful day here, but crisp. Last night we had a gorgeous sunset with spectacular colours. We shall probably be out for a look around the shops and coffee later.
Gillybob, good luck for your big meeting soon, hope it goes well.
Marydoll, isn't it horrid when luggage gets damaged/lost. Insured I hope.
To all GN's , enjoy your day

Brunette10 Thu 13-Sept-18 08:10:20

Good Morning all, dark skies here in NE Fife. So sorry for everyone's woes today I hope things get better for everyone. Marydoll I feel for you and your family to the end to your holiday. Have DGS today so it's chatty time again. Hopefully all will turn out well for everyone today.

gillybob Thu 13-Sept-18 07:39:40

Glad you are home safe and well after your wonderful trip to Rome Marydoll. Trust your DD’s fiancé’s case to go missing and taking the shine off everything. I do hope it turns up very soon (and all intact). How awful for him.

I assume your DD still has 6 weeks to go kitty or am I misunderstanding? My DD was born safe and well 5 weeks early weighing just under 5lb. Hope everything is okay and the tightenings are just that and not the start of labour quite yet.

Marydoll Thu 13-Sept-18 07:32:41

PS. Good luck at the eye clinic, Nina.

Marydoll Thu 13-Sept-18 07:31:54

Good morning all, it's cool and breezy here in Glasgow.
A day of washing and ironing, after our trip.
We had a great trip, but a disappointing arrival back in Glasgow.
DD's suitcase was badly damaged and her fiancé's has disappeared altogether. Apparently it never even left Rome. In all the years we have been visiting Rome, nothing like this has happened before.
He is very upset, as he had bought beautiful, pink leather boots and presents for our wee granddaughter. They were also going away for a weekend break tomorrow, so that has taken the shine off things, as his clothes are missing!
I hope your daughter is OK, Kitty.
Gillybob, I hope your meeting goes well and all those with pampering today, enjoy!

Morning All

After a few rather boring grey skied days it’s bright and sunny here this morning.

DS’s lawn seed has been all raked in at last and we left his cat happily sitting in the middle of the protective netting. So today, having put it off twice, we really are going birding at Cley!

ninathenana Thu 13-Sept-18 07:13:51

Morning all.

Blue sky and sun in Kent. Eye clinic again today, hopefully this is the penultimate trip.
kitty I hope all is well with DD.
Have a good day everyone.

gillybob Thu 13-Sept-18 06:49:15

kittylester Thu 13-Sept-18 06:44:33

Morning Kate, corner, gd!

NanKate Thu 13-Sept-18 06:43:40

And hello to you too Corner enjoy your time with Littlest.

kittylester Thu 13-Sept-18 06:43:32

Morning Mick, morning all.

We have a really pretty pink and grey sky in North Leicestershire shock

Blood test and Sainsbury's for me and then bitting and bobbing at home hoping the phone doesnt ring. DD3 saw the midwife yesterday and was told that the baby is 60% engaged and if the tightening she is feeling continues, she should ring the hospital! I expect she will have to be induced in about 6 weeks and we will have been on tenterhooks for the whole time.

NanKate Thu 13-Sept-18 06:42:36

Morning Mickand Greyduster

Sun rising slowly here in South Bucks.

Having my feet done today. I feel like dancing down the road after the session, but I won’t ?

cornergran Thu 13-Sept-18 06:41:16

Morning Mick, Morning All. Bright start in our corner of Somerset. Early one for us as we’re off to mind Littlest. Been awake since silly o’clock with cramp. We like Bicester when we’re in the area Mick, enjoy your day. A gossip sounds good greyd, as does after school. Hope Thursday is kind to everyone.

Greyduster Thu 13-Sept-18 06:35:42

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Rather a grey start in South Yorkshire this morning. Enjoy your trip out, Mick; will there be lunch? Hairdressers for me today so a good gossip in store, then over to DD’s to be there when GS gets home from school. Have a good day, folks.
