That is why younger women do not use M&S surely? They see it as an older woman store..even if some ranges are quite stylish. Things for more modern older women. I just used it for basics: black trousers/ long sleeved tees to go under jackets bought elsewhere!

Think they had too many ranges: Per Una, Autograph, Weekend, Indigo, Classic etc etc

We are the obesity the disposable income though lostmyglasses and my daughters don't go in MandS as they see it as an old lady store - it will take a huge leap to change that. My daughters are 31 - 43.

I also got the email and just love the pink coat I could wear that all winter with all black and feel really good.
Holly has such a big following and the clothes she wears are not over the top styles or dowdy styles.

I got that email too. One look at her smug mush had me pressing the delete key pretty sharpish. I’m sick of seeing the same old faces, and plastering so-called celebs over everything puts me right off a brand.

I dont think Judi Dench ,lovely as she is,is where m and s see their target customer .they are trying to modernise the brand ..they have already dropped the classic granny range .M and S is up for constant criticism ..Judi is in her eighties and that’s not where they want to be targeting
.holly blooming willowy has a huge social media following and media exposure ..and that’s what is key these days ..that’s why they had Alexa. Chung but that backfired..
if you can see beyond the annoying fact that she’s everywhere and we don’t all identify with her, there ARE some nice clothes..they have had some great things so far ..all sold out on line .. if you look online you get a better overview of product offer as most of the stores are uninspiring and badly merchandised ..except for the flagship stores in major cities..
It’s about perception..I really think they are turning the corner with their offer..and the beauty products are v good.?

Yes got the email. Found two pairs of trousers the other day but had to try on loads first, should see me into Winter. I don't buy very much there now.

I look sometimes but it is a while since I bought in M&S. I have some favourite tops that are still going that I bought from M&S but now I do not need a work uniform my black trouser shopping has dramatically reduced! Only bought M&S as could get short 14s that almost fitted well.. still always had jodhpur thighs in them but the length was ok!

I like the M&S slippers because they have memory foam support.

I've previously mentioned the £3.50 t shirts I bought there in the summer which have been great. I am hoping they have the equivalent long sleeved ones over the autumn/winter.

I have a beautiful pair of sandals that I bought in M&S a few years ago. To be honest, I was surprised to find shoes I fell in love with and that are much admired whenever I wear them, in their store. Always worth a look I'd say.

Received the same Sparks message. It's obvious M & S are trying to attract the 40 something age bracket with this new line. Don't think it will work as everyone knows the amount of pampering that goes on with TV stars to have them look how they do. Did spend some time yesterday in M & S and found nothing of interest at all. The mustard colour popular just now is awful and the garish designs are just that - garish.

I received that email too and bought jeggings, a white shirt and white tee-shirt in the last sale which I'm very happy with. Quality material. Another poster mentioned buying slippers from M&S. I bought 3 pairs of shoes last year, real suede ankle-strap heels for 1/3 price in sale. You can guess that I usually shop in their sales.
I prefer Zara, River Island, Mango and my all time favourite, Primark, however, I do find some nice pieces in John Lewis including a long grey Bruce Oldfield trench which is wonderful.
The photo shows Primark suede look slippers bought 3 years ago. Never needed washing and with sturdy soles. A fab buy at £4. I also bought them in 2 other colours.

Much as I admire Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield as presenters on This Morning, I’m getting to the stage where I switch off when I see them because they’re absolutely everywhere on tv. I don’t particularly blame them for raking in the millions while they are at the pinnacle of their popularity, but for goodness sake give other people a chance at a job now and again.

Yes, admittedly a nice coat, but would it look as good on me? Probably not! ?

M & S is a food place as far as I'm concerned.

I do buy clothes from M&S perhaps because I struggle to find another shop in town which has as much choice and sizes. I'm 5ft 3in and struggle to find dresses and jeans etc that are not too long.. In all fairness the High street would be devastated if M&S were to go.

Hope that haven’t got rid of twiggy did like some of her designs.
Must admit though it’s getting harder and harder to find anything I like in there. I did get one jumper.
Then I went into primark and got a cardi for me and a jumper for gd.

Another one who walks round M&S and then comes out empty handed. Last week there seemed to be lots of very mediocre colours and styles. Although I did book a bra fitting which is about the only department I use at the moment.

They just don't listen so whatever happens it serves them right! Emails to them come back thanking you for your comments to be passed on but obviously go on n the bin!!!!

I went into M&S last week, ready to spend but after an hour, came out with nothing. So much hideous polyester and even stuff that looked and felt like crimplene. Coats and knitwear still ok but rest of clothing a total turn off and Per Una dull, dull dull. Would love to have asked the buyers about their choices. Before new season they had so much sale stuff it was unbelievable and I think they'll have a similar situation after this season. Sorry, Holly who?????

Which jumpers Jane, if you've found the good ones please share. Having said that, I've just ordered a pair of slippers!

I don't shop at M & S (except for fitted bras) so I shan't be stealing or buying anything from there.

It's another stuck in the past store for me! Then I am more of a boho vintage dresser so it wouldn't be my type of shop anyway
