So pleased Marydoll you are having fun in Rome. We too are on hols went shopping in Marlborough today, what a lovely town. Visited the Merchant’s House. If anyone is visiting this area of West Berks it is worth an hour or so of your time.

Hi Kitty snap my Bday is on the 27th too.

Dora I remember those prefabs from my youth.

Off to supper at a nice local pub. Watching the Kennet Canal from our lovely holiday Kabin (yes they do spell it like that)

A late good morning from a rainy Black Country.

Not much planned today except a walk into town with other half to buy groceries.

Tonight we are going to the Town Hall to see a production of Goodnight Mr Tom, so looking forward to that.

A cloudy start here on the NE coast . Light rain forecast later. Nothing exciting planned for today just food shopping etc. Lots of roads are closed tomorrow due the Great North Run.

Morning Mick, Morning All from a drizzly corner of Somerset. Visitors today, we’re out for lunch, I get too anxious cooking for them as their preference is for fine dining not my family style meals Not sure what else other than remembering the umbrella. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a rather grey Birmingham. My little grandson ( almost one) is here after his second night’s sleepover, and is steadily causing havoc throughout my apartment. My daughter and son in law will be picking him up later, and my other daughter will be coming too, with my eldest granddaughter ( nearly 2) We are going to visit the prefabs on Wake Green road as part of Birmingham heritage week.

Good morning Mick, Annie to come, and all GN's. It's dry and reasonably bright here, so far. Our youngest GS started school last week, and we were sent some beautiful pictures of him, and Mum and Dad. Actually, the ones of GS and his Dad made me feel weepy, remembering when he started school. Nothing much planned for today, coffee with friends, then shopping, that I was too tired to do yesterday.

Good Morning all ad it's lovely and sunny here at the moment in NE Fife and quite fresh too. Holiday washing complete but yet to tackle mountain of ironing. Marydoll, sounds as if you are having a good time so far and yes Rome will be scorching, make the most. Will attempt to complete holiday laundry today and return to normal. Good morning everyone from a lovely bright day in Essex by the sea. I've been awake since 5'sh, helicopter going round overhead woke me up. We are off to Corfu very early tomorrow so lots to do today. Have a great weekend.

It's overcast in Kent but sun is forecast.
We were booked be in Eastbourne for a couple of nights but cancelled due to the forecast.....they now say sunny .
We're going to try the new Turkish restaurant in town tonight instead.

Off shortly to pick up granddog 2 who’s coming to stay for the weekend. DD2 and family are off to a wedding.

Good morning Mick and all who follow. It's going to be a scorcher here today in Rome. today.? I'm obviously delighted.
When I was working, we used to go in the October school week and it invariably rained. Thunderstorms were forecast, but haven't materialised.
Lots of sightseeing ( and shopping today), we will meet DD and her fiancé for lunch.
I'm too slow at walking these and the lovebirds need time to experience the wonders on their own.❤️ ?
We went to our favourite restaurant as usual, they usually call me, " Maria", last night I was " Mamma!". They obviously see me as an older lady now! ?

There is a very pretty pink sky in North Leicestershire which isn't good as we are going shopping for the 6 family birthdays we have between 27th and 29th of this month.
