A note how ever polite is not the way to deal with this as another has suggested or knocking on their door... Because we don't like something is not to say what someone is doing is wrong. Clearly your friend is not happy with what she is observing and it could be said ' what's your problem ?then don't look'. It is not your business to intervene and could make it worse and you do not know what the couple's motives are by their display of nudity if their is a motive ?. Standing in the altogether in front of full length windows questionable ?If you want to help why not accompany her to CA and get their advice on this situation and how it can be dealt with. Legally if necessary.

Old Batty and Gillybob you made me laugh out loud! I think I would sell tickets and just imagine the shock they would get seeing a yard full of people staring at them! I think if it were me I would just ignore it unless they actually started any sexual activity! as for the scratchy balls I would post some cream for itchy gonads through their door (anonymously of course)

We used to live in a house where the baths were positioned longwise under the low frosted windows in the bathroom, but the frosting was very thin! The man in the house opposite used to have a bath every Sunday afternoon and stand up in the bath and soap himself VERY thoroughly! I would see it just as one of those things. Yes I expect the children are a bit agog when they catch a view but they will soon bore of the spectacle and probably not bother to look eventually.

Putting up a blind, frosted plastic or curtain will reduce the OPs light into her kitchen which could be limited if she has houses over looking her. This may be why they don't have a curtain. Also why should she have to incur any expense.

A polite note in their letter box would be my first line of action followed by a large notice ready to display in my window when they appeared naked,

I was staying at a hotel myself in Blackpool and it was a similar "L" shape and our room backed on to the back yard and it was last thing at night I think, or we might have been going out for the evening, I'm not sure; and I just stepped out of the shower and I crossed the room to put something on and I think I gave someone a flash. For goodness sake get some adjustable blinds on your window. Folks can do what they wish in their own home as long as they are not causing offence.

Under UK law its not illegal to walk around the house naked.
This means even if you're visible through an unshuttered window you aren't technically breaking the law. However, if the nudity becomes a regularity and if your neighbours complain to the cops enough the authorities might take action against you.

I am sorry but I still don’t understand why you have to get involved. It is not you seeing the couple it is family. So it is down to the that family to deal with it. I would think the best form is to laugh at the couple

We went about naked in the morning until our eldest was 11 and requested a lock on the bathroom door. We took that as our cue to wear something between bedroom and bathroom and also time to put up a net curtain so that she had privacy in her bedroom from the houses behind during the day when her curtains were open.
I would have thought the children in this post would soon come to take naked bodies for granted if they don’t already. However if there is any sign of exhibitionism I as a parent would go round and complain. The way I see it this says more about the mother’s inhibitions than the naturist couple’s lack of inhibition.

Can you, the friends that is , knock on their door and politely ask them to put a curtain between you and them?I don't see why you should have to .
I had a neighbour who sunbathed in his garden in full view, naked. I found it rather repellent because he was a vain man with a rather sinewy body and was constantly slastering sun lotion over himself. Yuck.
The memory if it has quite put me off my breakfast.

Fit some Venetian type blinds to own windows, these can be adjusted to tilt at various angles so you or the children do not have to get an eyeful of the naked neighbours. It does seem a bit odd to me why they would actually need to have full length windows put in to a bedroom that overlooks other people's property though. If they had a beautiful view of the countryside or the sea and not overlooked it would make more sense. They sound like exhibitionists in my opinion.

When my daughter was about 8 we took her and a friend for a day at the seaside. My husband hates crowds and went ahead striding across the beach to find a quiet spot, leaving me to walk on behind with the girls.
Suddenly my daughter said. Mum that man hasn't got any pants on! I replied, oh he must have, thinking it was the way he was sitting. A quick look round showed me were actually on a nudist beach. Husband still miles ahead not even noticing. 2 giggling girls had to be taken off the beach.
Did feel I had to explain to the friends mum later in case she got the wrong idea though.

If it's not an offence to be naked where others can see, why did that bloke who was walking around UK keep getting arrested. I know there be a difference if the person is on private property but if viewed by children there may be an indecent exposure issue. Would have a word with police to check out. Take it the naturalists can see the family in their house so they must know they can be seen.

A man locally was jailed for standing in the window exposing himself, I can't really see the difference here. I would phone the police and see what they have to say. We all live in close proximity to others and have to take into account the impact of our behaviour.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being nude in your own home, but I do think that because they choose to stand blatantly in the window, scratching (uuggh) there is some other agenda going on here - and it sounds a bit unhealthy. I would put a letter through their door to indicate just that; you don't want to see their naked bits as it is putting you off your muesli.
My friend had a neighbour who did naked gardening late in the evening; she didn't object and ignored it, but he obviously thought this was a signal to take things further and while she was preparing dinner one evening, and before her husband got home he appeared, naked, at her kitchen side door and was asking silly questions about plants. Give them an inch....!

Really why the fuss? We all have bodies of different shapes and sizes and it won’t do the children any harm to see this. If you really can’t cope put up blinds or nets! It is their house after all.

Maybe try and catch their eye, then wave. Maybe a cheeky grin or thumbs up. (or perhaps not, they may take it that there’s no problem) could be that the light is different in facing houses and the naked people can’t see into the neighbours house, leading them to think no one can see into theirs?

I don't care if it's legal or not, I certainly wouldn't want to see that at the breakfast table - or anywhere else for that matter?. I'm no prude, I just think it's exhibitionist to deliberately stand in front of a window when they must know they can be seen. Why should everyone else have to buy blinds or draw the curtains? Drop a note through the door - after using the paddles!
