Chris Evans is leaving Radio 2

Good. He's too loud and big headed, not what I want to hear in the mornings. Anyone else will be an improvement. Didn't like the way he has his kids on there too. Can you tell I'm not a fan

Also the BBC will save so much money. Hopefully they won't pay anyone else that obscenely huge amount.

Hoorraayyy! I can retune now, I stopped listening years ago. I can’t bear the bloke, he is so up his own backside. I expect he was on an insanely ridiculous salary, what a waste of money.

Trevor nelson has a much nicer manner and voice

Another one rejoicing here. Nothing against the man he is only doing his job but that VOICE! Ugh.

I really like him and the programme and will be sorry to see him go.
I hope his replacement is as upbeat and chatty as he is. A great start to the day.

I was just talking to my daughter about the summer replacement voices on Radio 2 and how I think some voices are better suited to specific parts of the day.
I think Sarah Cox's voice would suit a morning slot and I think Trevor Nelson's smooth voice is better suited to late evening.

He's fine in my opinion, yes different from others but I think he's done well and don't mind listening to him, there are a lot worse

I like him he certainly brightens a morning ,hope its not some boring old fart who takes his place .Radio has enough of them already.

Can't stand Chris Evans and don't listen to radio 2 so don't really care!

I might start listening to R2 again! It's the SHOUTING that I dislike from Chris Evans.

Sarah Cox or Trevor Nelson would suit me.

If I were in the UK I'd listen to 6music at breakfast time. However, I see that Sean Keaveney has now been replaced by Lauren Laverne - we'll see how that works out.

I quite liked him, but haven’t listened to morning radio 2 for quite some time. He could get a bit giddy sometimes though, and then I’d switch stations. Tends to be classic fm or radio 4 or 4 extra now, depending whether I’m in my car or at home! Used to listen to radio 2 on the way to work, but am rarely up and about at that time in the morning any more.

Sarah Cox is favourite to replace Evans. As long as its not Vanessa Feltz!
My vote is for Trevor Nelson.

For those who miss him, he’s just announced he’s moving to Virgin Radio. So much for all that stuff about being at home with his new twins

I will miss him, he is not retiring just returning to the Virgin Radio Breakfast show were he started. Sara Cox gets my vote for his successor.

One good thing about retiring is that Radio 2 doesn't go on until I'm in the greenhouse with a mug of coffee and Ken Bruce.

I can't be doing with Chris Evans but DS has met him a couple of times at Carfest and thinks he's great.

I think it’s a great day I find him annoying not just in this programme but anything I ve ever seen or heard him on

Personal taste I suppose and he’s not my taste

I have no objection to his broadcasting style but imagine I'll get used to whoever replaces him. When Terry Wogan left, I was very sorry but soon got used to his absence.

I always think Sara Cox is good too. Makes a change.

I have to say I like Chris Evans. He is enthusiastic, real & says it like it is. Nothing false about him at all, including his appearance. He is a great guy!

Whoever it is they get to replace him I hope the Beeb come to their senses with regard to what they pay them. CE was never worth the eye watering amount of (our) money he was getting!

I got very tired of his incessant chatter first thing in the morning. It will be interesting to see who takes over.I currently listen to Classic FM, but get bored with the film music played.
