I am thankful to GN knowing that I have more interesting things to read here than on FaceBook!
I also know that if I ever have an insurmountable problem, I will be able to get kind and helpful advice from all of you lovely Grans. ???

For being my sole companion

I never thought I would make new friends at my age grin,
but I have made some lovely friends on GN.

For helping me to bite my tongue and keep my big mouth shut when I am tempted to say too much and make matters worse smile and much more.

It also introduced me to spa days when I won a mother and daughter day at a wonderful spa near Newark.

Also an always available excuse for procrastination ( like now)

A variety of good books and the opportunity to meet up with some lovely people.

I have many interests but Gransnet is an added one.

Perhaps I flatter myself but I like to think I help people with some of my posts. I sometimes worry people might think I'm trying to boss them about but that is not my intention.

I enjoy the surveys and competitions.

It has given me a good friend. What more can one ask for!

GN has given me a lot of laughs, a few tears, an occasional strop, many great books and two lovely competition prizes. smile

Oh, and that fabulous horse shampoo that a GNer once recommended. I was very sceptical, but it’s good stuff!

I'm grateful for the advice too trisher and the fun, friendship and support. Also for phoenix's spell - it didn't work and, unfortunately, the Idiot is still with us but it made me laugh!!

Some time ago I posted about my tiny lawn and the weeds and moss on it and asked for help. Some wise soul (and I can't remeber who) advised me just to keep it short and it would look OK. It was ages ago, but guess what IT DOES. So thanks to GN for the advice. I wondered if there is anything anyone else is grateful for.
