Actually, the links weren't 'blued' but could be copied and pasted.
I reported two posts the other day (both the same by the same poster) which were blatant advertising. The poster had revived an old thread.
However, the posts remained.
That's a bit worrying Lara, if it was repeatedly zapped and refused to go 
A bit worrying if Putin , I mean St Petersburg hacker has evaded the Gransnet zapper.

Just looking now and it looks like it was zapped (repeatedly) but obviously didn't work so something we'll ask tech to look at on Monday.

Right, here is the thing.
Friday morning some spammer (or shall I say troll) posted a very tacky, unpleasant, mildly pornographic advertisement for “escorts” in St Petersburg .
Despite countless reports on the thread (Keeping Faith) and bringing it to HQ’s attention on the Calling GN Mods thread, nothing has happened. Now personally the plonker can post all the links to buxom babuschkas with big boobies that he likes, as I have no intention of opening them,
BUT there have been recent instances of lightning quick deletions of posts with long “cut n pastes”, deletions of even a whisper of trolling (the T word again) and genuine members have felt the heavy hand of GNHQ.
So, perhaps somebody might like to explain the dual standard which seems to be operating? Exactly who is GN for? And what is the rationale?
Apart from the ludicrous incongruity of such advertising on a forum such as ours, it the fact that many members are simply being blanked and their reports acknowledged - and then ignored
