Did anyone just watch Kim Woodford on Loose Women? shock

Grannyknot Thu 30-Aug-18 14:33:13

Aepgirl I agree. Screeching or braying. I want to run a mile.

As an aside, I am always amazed when little girls are permitted to run around screeching. I have a daughter and she was never shrill as a small child, thank goodness.

I don't watch Loose women now, used to enjoy it when Kaye adams and in those days Colleen seemed just a bit of a comic nothing more..but in recent years I haven't watched it since it became so bland, and most of the women use it as a Platform for their own personal woes.

However I realise Kim has issues, but I have to say I did see the Big brother shpws with both Nolan sisters and with Nadia Sawalha . The Nolans sisters were absolutely vile..true colours ( separate shows), they were both bullies... and the most shocking of all was Nadia, whom I'd always liked previous to that. She was viscous and nasty..and I can't look at her at all acting the nice friendly best buddy act, without remembering just how horrible she is in real life!!

She's cerainly a good actress when it comes to that, pity she could have ''acted'' a more decent human being on BB>..so in this instance I completely understood Kim's attitude on LW..although I don't condone it...
She's probably seethed about Colleen Nolans' bullying in the BB house for a very long time.

I don't think that my opinion is going to be very popular but here goes.
I do not think that the other members of the panel 'ganged up' on Kim. I do not think that Coleen behaved badly towards her. I feel that she came on the programme all ready to row with them all - I thought she was very scary and if even Janet Street Porter couldn't calm her down then no one could.
By chance my husband watched the whole thing with me and before I came on here I asked him his opinion and he totally agreed with my take on the situation (and that is not something that happens very often!).
Finally my husband's last words on Kim and her behaviour after she stormed off were "She's mentally ill, isn't she?". So although she acted so badly maybe we should feel sorry for her and she needs to seek help. Certainly before she appears on tv again I would say.

I never watch LW but saw this interview on my computer. I was amazed at KW behavior remembering her from the cleaning programme. But as she repeated, l do it for the money. Obviously that is how she earns her living these days and gets paid well for it but I don't think for much longer.

humptydumpty Thu 30-Aug-18 15:46:22

I take your point Danni, but in my opninion it is down to ITV for setting up the confrontation in the first place. Personally I thought both Nolan sisters came across as horribly smug, very good at looking as if butter wouldn't melt in their mouths.

muffinthemoo Thu 30-Aug-18 16:17:13

notgoneyet oh Stacey is a sweetheart.

Most of the rest of them I would have to bodyswerve in real life though, I don’t think I could handle all that aggro from mates!

Coolgran65 Thu 30-Aug-18 16:48:23

I saw the programme and honestly wonder if I saw the same show, or else there's something wrong with me.
I've never seen B&B so can't comment on that regard. About LW I felt astonished at KW attitude, she came out with guns blazing and all fired up spoiling for a fight. Very rude to Linda Robson who was trying to comfort her. And as for saying Linda Robson wouldn't admit to saying Colleen was two faced, Linda clearly admitted that she did but had been quoting what Colleen herself had said.

I agree that Colleen can be tongue in cheek at times but I've never thought her smug. And it was KW who called Linda Nolan talentless first.

I agree very much with DanniRae post.

I didn't think they ganged upon her. I do think it went as KW wanted it to go.

Dianeatdarcie Thu 30-Aug-18 17:03:03

Yes loose women was tough to watch, but you can always change channels,? As for the person who slagged off Stacey Solomon, what's wrong with you. She is one of the most genuine people on there, along with Jane and Nadia and Janet. Must say not too sure about Coleen anymore. Used to like her honesty, but think now she is too full of herself.

kathyd Thu 30-Aug-18 17:06:23

I have never liked Colleen Nolan. She's all out for cheap laughs, usually at someone else's expense.
Haven't liked Kim Woodburn since the cleaning programme. She's false and I couldn't abide her put on 'posh' accent, so obviously artificial.

kathyd Thu 30-Aug-18 17:07:41

I haven't seen the clip and don't want to.

BlueBelle Thu 30-Aug-18 17:22:08

Dannie although I think Kim probably does have mental heath problems I think she loves the drama and being the wronged woman and probably played the part in such an over the top swat to get her money
They probably all went for a drink afterwards, it’s drama to get figures isn’t it ?
I haven’t watched a Big Brother for years but do you remember when Vanessa Feltz did all that stupid writing and got lots of sympathy for having ‘a breakdown’ on the set .....breakdown my axxx

HurdyGurdy Thu 30-Aug-18 17:54:33

I've just watched the clip - purely on the strength of this thread.

I watched the Big Brother series that Kim and Colleen were on, and from the instant she walked into that House, Kim went at it will all guns blazing. She was instantly on the attack and she was highly aggressive all the way through.

I never forget that these so-called celebrities are all VERY media savvy, with teams of "people" around them. They are paid very handsomely for these TV appearances . They know perfectly well that confrontation gets shown and gains viewers and keeps their name in the public domain - especially on Big Brother. The housemates, and celebrities in general, thrive on the fame or the infamy

So I take it all with a huge pinch of salt. And whilst it did seem a first sight as though Kim was being ganged up on, she was not prepared to listen to a single word anyone said and any questions she was asked, she skirted around or barked any answers to her own agenda.

I never see LW these days, with being at work, and seriously would never make an effort to watch it again.

annep Thu 30-Aug-18 17:57:40

I rhink KW was very upset not mentally ill! Others were smirkung and then trying to act sympathetic. Thats false in my book.

BlueBelle Thu 30-Aug-18 18:29:51

She’s very false too They are all good at amature dramatics It’s a game isn’t it to draw in the public she knew exactly what she was going on for money money money It’s a bit like wrestling they probably all go off for wine in the interval laughing all the way to the bank while we mull over their mental health They are all false and all worship their pay packet
The more I think about it the more I see it as a pantomime

GabriellaG Thu 30-Aug-18 18:37:22

SHOCKING, unladylike and contemptible.
All acting like fishwives and all common to boot.

KatyK Thu 30-Aug-18 18:38:54

It's called SHOW business. They are all putting on a show, for money.

seacliff Thu 30-Aug-18 18:48:32

I do think KW is struggling with her career these days, and she is known for being "difficult", to say the least. I know that she and Aggie from the House Cleaning programme fell out badly. I think these days she just wants to be on TV in any way, and she is well aware that by being so confrontational and over the top, she will get talked about, and get more media work. I just don't think she is genuine.
.
Likewise Colleen and her sister, they are no better. I think the producers should not have had the sister on, if a reconciliation was genuinely hoped for. It made things too one sided. The sister was being quite a stirrer.

The whole thing was quite unsavoury. No doubt the producers love it, ups the ratings. Real trash TV.

annep Thu 30-Aug-18 18:57:30

Not worth our attention then....

Yellowmellow Thu 30-Aug-18 22:27:42

Disgraceful. Whatever Kim Woodburn is like, she was outnumbered and the panel came across as a load of bullies ganging up on her. I thought we were trying to stamp out bullying. Not a very good example.....and I was going to say they reverted back to the playground, but that is an insult to all those youngsters out there that could teach that shower a ting or too.

rosyposy50 Thu 30-Aug-18 23:29:24

I felt Kim came on completely ready for a fight. She was aggressive from the start and kept getting more and more wound up even when no-one else could get a word in! After CBB she was so appallingly rude and nasty to Philip Schofield that I felt she was showing her true colours and she’s just proved that she is in fact a horrible, aggressive person who’s only interested in money no matter what she has to do for it. I mean, would you seriously put yourself through that for any other reason?

Eloethan Thu 30-Aug-18 23:57:37

I haven't watched Loose Women for some years now. I liked it when it was presented by Kaye Adams. Although there was some light, silly stuff, there were also some sensible and interesting discussions. It seemed to change and I stopped watching. I don't know what it's like now but it seems from what has been described on this thread that it is really scraping the barrel.

BlueBelle Fri 31-Aug-18 07:08:46

I didn’t think they ‘ganged up’ Yellowmellow I thought the verbal bullying came from Kim
Linda tried to comfort her and was rebuffed in a very disengenerous way Colleen (can’t stand her ) and sister didn’t get too many words in edgeways and janet was deemed surplus to requirement unless there was more than we saw in the clip
Kim wanted to spew out fire from the second she walked out it was a great and dramatic performance she earned her fee
She is either mentally unstable with a huge built up grudge from Big brother which I didn’t see, so no idea who was right or wrong there or she was earning her money by being over dramatic She of late has come across as a very angry person but again that might be her tv /acting persona
I work with a lady who comes in every day with a new drama she thrives off it she is constantly looking for attention by having more and more fantastical stories happening to her on a daily level, my attitude is ‘Oh fancy that’s a shame’ I just cannot play into it
people with real problems have to be carefully coached to ever talk about them

oldbatty Fri 31-Aug-18 08:59:03

Kim and the ugly sisters are laughing all the way to the bank.

Kay Adams was the only one with half a brain.

JessK Fri 31-Aug-18 10:25:22

Terrible programme. I don't usually watch it but saw the clip. Reminded me of a gang of bullies in a girls school.
I had the misfortune of being given tickets to see this show a few years ago and was appalled at the attitude of the panellists. Just there for the money and keeping their career alive. Shame on them all...

DanniRae Fri 31-Aug-18 11:25:36

I find it amazing how many of the contributors to this thread who 'never watch Loose Women because it is a dreadful programme' went out of their way to watch the Kim Woodburn v the Loose Women panel on youtube. If you hate the programme and all it stands for why would you want to see it? So odd hmm.
