Good morning all x

Sun trying to break through in SE Essex, on Gran duties today 3 till lunch time and then down to 2. Taking the 2 of them to a trampoline park, think it will be packed and noisy. Hopefully they will bounce of some (lots of) excess energy.

Hope all goes well with the architect Annie x

Similar thing here, NannyJan - I don’t even know where it is now!

Sock it to ‘im, Annie. You’ll never break the land speed record otherwise ?!

Eilyann70 Tue 14-Aug-18 10:02:14

Anniebach Good luck with the architect!

NannyJan53 Tue 14-Aug-18 09:47:47

My OH was issued with Hearing Aids Greyduster 6 years ago. He tried them once, but he said the sound was too loud, and never wore them again!

His hearing is nowhere near as bad as mine and he gets by, but I do have to repeat myself sometimes. The day is fast approaching when he will have to wear them.

Anniebach Tue 14-Aug-18 08:38:31

Good morning Auntyflo and all x thinking of you Auntyflo

Rain forecast again. After a month of battling the council architect is calling today to discuss parking for my scooter, which is still in the hall !

Good morning all .
Have a good Tuesday everyone x

Hope you’re feeling better today, harri.

Good morning, another grey start in the NE.
A stay at home day as we have parcel deliveries expected, all the GC's birthday gifts that are just not available on the high street.

Pittcity Tue 14-Aug-18 08:23:21

Good morning from a grey skied Northumberland. Had a good drive up with no delays yesterday. Staying in a brand new caravan on the edge of the National Park...a bargain last minute booking. We are quite grateful for the cool damp weather coming from the scorching South East.
Castle visiting today once the boys decide which ones...bacon butties first though!

Greyduster Tue 14-Aug-18 08:23:00

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A bright day in prospect here in South Yorkshire. I must get some ironing done today and do something with a couple of kilos of plums we have taken off our tree. I gave some to DD and some to a neighbour so it has yielded quite well for the first time since it went in. Must have been my threat to chop it down if it didn’t! NannyJan I am pleased your DH’s op went well - hope it does the trick, and could anyone who has managed to persuade their other halves to get their hearing sorted PLEASE tell me how they managed it? Mine obstinately refuses! Have a good day folks.

Good morning,

Fairly bright and sunny at the moment, but the clouds are rolling in a bit more. Forecast as a reasonable day, though.

Been looking at wireless doorbells, as we need one when we get our new door. Goodness me, what a choice! It’s overwhelming, really. Some plug in, some don’t, some use batteries some don’t. All have a choice of about 50 different tunes. I only want a simple, water proof doorbell that I will hear when someone presses the button! ?

Hope you all have a good day.

Panache Tue 14-Aug-18 07:57:13

Good Morning to you one and all.

The skies are grey but that seems the usual pattern with sunshine breaking out an hour or two later.

A very busy 3 days in our town as it hosts the big Agriculture Show where all the local businesses have a stand showing their wares, whilst the Farmers vie for the trophies for the best animals .....their wives for the best crafts and Bakery............the weather looks promising anyway.

Good for your partner NannyJ..........not the nicest procedure for sure.

No clouds here NfkD

Good Luck with those hearing aid tests .......my DH finally succumbed about 3 years ago and now would not manage without,it is first thing he fits per morning and last thing he removes before bed of an evening.

Have a good day.

ninathenana Tue 14-Aug-18 07:51:49

Morning all.

The sun is out in Kent. I don't think we are forecast any rain.
Usual Tuesday, take H to gardenibg job, Tesco shop and coffee, pick H up drop him at another job, home for lunch, go pick H up and come home.
I love Tuesdays sad
Enjoy your day everyone.

Nana3 Tue 14-Aug-18 07:47:38

Good morning all. Dry at the moment in Lancashire. I'm having a day out with WI today, looking forward to it.
Hope your partner continues to improve Nannyjan.
My OH has hearing aids Marydoll and he wont wear them, it's frustrating, hope your experience is better.
Have a good day everyone.

NfkDumpling Tue 14-Aug-18 07:39:27

Morning All

Very grey and still here in my bit of Norfolk this morning.

I have a reflexology appointment first thing so will be gliding around on a cloud for the rest of the day.

Glad to hear your DH has survived his op NannyJ. Fingers crossed!

ginny Tue 14-Aug-18 07:37:31

Good morning from a dull N. Bucks. Forecast say it should be warmer later but still mostly cloudy?.
Nanny jam, glad your DH s op. seems to have gone well.
A few chores to do and a little local shopping. Lunch with a friend. Must sort out stuff for a sewing day tomorrow and think about packing for a few days away.

cornergran Tue 14-Aug-18 07:36:18

Morning Mick, Morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset. Need to wake the lodger soon as we promised breakfast out, a favourite. Another day of non stop chatter. A coast walk on the agenda if the sky doesn’t leak too much, otherwise a craft day. Hope Tuesday is kind to everyone.

kittylester Tue 14-Aug-18 07:24:32

Morning all!

North Leicestershire is fairly bright and sunny this morning and, shush, the dgds are still in bed. Though they were still talking at 10 pm last night. shock

We were promised thunder overnight but I didn't hear any.

We are in the process of getting DH's hearing sorted narydoll - it's proving to be a long job requiring an awful lot of patience. grin

Our visitors are going out for a siblings and cousins picnic today and I am driving to the other side of Leicestershire to help on another Alzheimer's course.

Take away tonight!

Marydoll Tue 14-Aug-18 07:23:48

Glad to hear about your husband, NannyJan, we would rather be ill ourselves, than see them in hospital. Remember to look after yourself also!

NannyJan53 Tue 14-Aug-18 07:16:01

Good Morning everyone

Another dull start here in The Black Country.

Marydoll I have worn hearing aids for over 15 years, and could not manage without them. If your DH needs them he will marvel at the difference it makes to his life!

My partner had his operation successfully yesterday, and although he is a bit sore, ate his evening meal. Hard to tell whether or not it has worked yet due to soreness.

Thank you for all the good wishes yesterday.

Today I am catching up on ironing and housework shock

Have a good day all

NanKate Tue 14-Aug-18 07:13:26

I’ll be looking for comfy knickers Mary ?

Marydoll Tue 14-Aug-18 07:10:15

Kate, of course you can join me. I shall be rummaging through the rails of " bargains" in the M&S outlet, which seem to have been there for weeks, unsold.?
DH hates when I go in there and don't come back out for ages. ?

NanKate Tue 14-Aug-18 07:05:30

Morning Mick Gaga and Mary.

Calm and cloudy in South Bucks. Should be 25degrees later.

Mary I need my DH to have a hearing test too. Whilst your DH has his eyes tested can I virtually join you round the shops, maybe we could fit in tea and cake. ?

Marydoll Tue 14-Aug-18 06:56:09

Morning, * Gaga*.☺️

Marydoll Tue 14-Aug-18 06:55:45

Good morning, Mick and all who follow.
Dry here at the moment, but rain forecast later.
After months of nagging, I have persuaded DH to go for a hearing test ?and new glasses ?He is in total denial.
DIL is an optician, so she will be in charge, so no opting out this time.?
I shall happily wander around the shops,?️?️?️?️ whist he is otherwise engaged.
Have a good day all.
Auntieflo, I hope all went well yesterday.
Have a good day all.
