Annie It is certainly worth a try although I don't know anyone who has tried it.
I am a firm believer in not to doubt anything until you have tried it yourself.
I think of you most days and always offer a prayer for your wellbeing . xx

I would say give it a try. There is a website called thetappingsolution.com which you may find useful. Good luck

I have a friend who suffers with ME. She has become qualified in EFT and also teaches it. It has certainly helped her to lead a more 'normal' life.

Part of it, so it says on the net, is related to neuro-linguistic-programming (NLT) which does have some following and has been around for a long time.

The tapping idea has also been around a long while, and similar techniques are used with an elastic band round your wrist, which you flick as a trigger to take you back to where you want to be.

Don't forget that wiki is not an encyclopaedia - it contains the views of individuals who write the articles - it is not unbiased. So just because the person who wrote that article does not rate it,it does not mean it will not work for you.

My OH, who was a doctor and really has no truck at all with alternative therapies, trained in hypnotherapy because he could see how it helped people.

I really would give this a try annie - it could be very productive for you.

annie I think after 9 months at home anything is worth a try. As long as it doesn't cost too much and she's not ripping you off, I would have a go. Nothing else has worked. Good luck. You are still in my prayers, every day, I hope you can find some peace soon. x

Annie If she lives in the cul-de-sac, she is not only an EFT practitioner but also a neighbour. Very near at hand, and also she could be a good neighbour in a friendly way too. A double reason to see whether she can help you. If it suits you, it doesn't matter whether Wikipedia approves of the therapy or not (and I am one of the first to slate "therapies" which are just ingenious and sometimes dangerous methods of parting people from their money).

I have not tried EFT but can see how it would work, tapping brings you back to the relaxed state your sub conscious was in during therapy.Hope it works for you.

Yes, Ann, I was told this morning a lady who lives in this Cul de Sac is a hypnotherapist and EFT practitioner, I was given her card. Thought it was worth a try .

I did google it, Wikipedia dismisses it but much in complementary treatments are dismissed .

I must say, it sounds "very out there".
Do you know a practioner?

annsixty Sat 04-Aug-18 14:26:39

So sorry for you Annie.
I havent always been keeping up but have you tried various therapies,.
I am assuming EFT is one but I haven't googled it yet.
I hope very sincerely one of them works for you.
