Good Morning Monday

Good morning everyone. Grey looking and still light rain here in Surrey. Just relaxing before going to look after my granddaughters at 11am. Not nice enough to go to a park etc so it will be amusing indoors today. Nothing else planned. Apparently we are getting the sun back tomorrow, can't come quick enough for me although it has been nice being able to sleep again without a fan.

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. Still rainy on and off here but the sun and heat is returning. Laundry is drying indoors. In holiday mode here as a lot if regular activities have stopped until September.

Morning all! Raining in Leicester. Two weeks and six days to daughter’s wedding! Where did those months disappear? Finally got a GP appointment for DH’s cough today and I have a DEXA scan. Then it is making paper pom-poms, to decorate the marquee.

After a dry but dull day yesterday today looked to be the same though a shower has just said its going to be slightly damp!

Wales are still celebrating their boy Geraint winning the Tour de france!!

Our Smoke alarm is a pain in the butt just prior to the batteries depleting........and always in the early morning hours.

Our towns were fortunate in having their "In Bloom" efforts judged prior to the rain and storms NfkD

Clouding over a bit now. Looks as though it rained in the night. Everything starting to look a bit greener, anyway.
Have a nice holiday greyduster. As other posters say, it could be your battery running low on your smoke alarm. My alarms also makes a funny noise when the batteries are ready for changing - short, intermittent bleeps, usually in the middle of the night! ?

They are on holiday Chaos, based in Ubud and doing all sorts of cultural things - not beach people. DGD is vegan and thrilled to find a large number of vegan eating places. Not sure 13-year old DGS is as thrilled with the whole experience though!

Goodness, I managed to miss news of the earthquake. I hope your daughter is safe and well. Is she holidaying, or living there. We did a stint there in the 80's ....the Balinese are such nice people.

It's fresh and dull so far here on the south coast and I had the best night's sleep for some time. Bliss. We are promised a fine and sunny day but not too hot - that is just what I ordered!

Laundry and chores on the agenda and hopefully more news from DD in Bali - just 25 miles from the big earthquake on the adjacent island on Saturday. All was well with them yesterday so fingers crossed.

A lovely morning here in the SW.....dry, but cool. Very welcome after recent weeks.
I am just back from walking the horrible hounds, who did not think a cooler morning was any reason to abandon walking at stupid o'clock. Heat avoidance techniques may be showing their downside!

Morning everyone, quite bright here today in NE Fife however looks quite showery too. Got new washer/drier being delivered today, can't wait to get washing done! Never been excited before about washing (smile). Soooo enjoyed Poldark last night, poor Elizabeth. Enjoy your day everyone. Have fun.

Morning All

After a very windy, gusty and showery weekend we have thin high cloud with sunny spells here in the north of Norfolk this morning. And no wind at all.

The tv keeps saying about all the welcome rain, but we really didn’t get much, but yesterday was miserable enough to keep me indoors and I sorted all my clothes. I’m a hoarder but for once I was in the mood. Five bags are now on the spare bed waiting to go to the charity shop but I still don’t think I’ll need to buy anything for a few years.

Today we have a local celebrity coming to judge the floral efforts of the traders and businesses in town. No big prize (a plaque) but it’s brought out competitiveness and town is certainly looking good this year.

Seeing a friend this morning at the Garden Centre for coffee and then to another friend’s home for Rummykub this afternoon.

Have fun Kitty with Persie and Bertie we have our two to stay for 4 nights next week and then I will retire to a darkened room for a day or two ?

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire this morning, but showers expected later. A rude awakening for us this morning as the smoke alarm was making a noise at about half past five. Not the sort of noise it makes when the toast is burning though. Hmm. Last minute sorting today and car packing before we go away tommorrow, very early so I may not post as Mick will still be in bed and I will be on the road!!

It's grey and damp in north Leicestershire. We have Bertie and Persie for the next couple of days so happy days ahead - and extreme tiredness!

morning all, a bit of a grey start to the day here in Letchworth, quite mild though. Just been to the greenhouse to water my tommies, and have fed the birds. Off to work this morning for a 5hour shift then the rest of the day is mine. I plan to cook a decent meal this evening as i was bowling Sat/Sun and it was sarnies both evenings for DH as i had tea at the club.
