Good morning everyone just got back from church and am sitting with a cup of tea. It's rained all night here in Surrey and still going although lighter now than earlier on. Poor DD1 & 2 are coming back from a camping weekend later and are having to take down the tent etc in the rain. We were going to have a barbecue but that is off the cards now I think we wi ll be rummaging in the freezer. I've been feeding the cats for them and they'll be pleased to see them come back they miss them. Have been sending photos of them to the granddaughters as they miss them even more!

Feeling sad that the warmth and sun has gone i know we needed the rain but when it is grey, wet and chilly it does feel like our glorious summer has gone. Sorry for my youngest son his partner and child as they went away yesterday for a week to Yarmouth and the weather has changedsad Have been busy this morning did my exercises , well the warm up and cool down part as the not sure if i should do the hardest bit till i get results next week of my MRI on my back. Made a weetabix cake from slimming world receipe, done the ironing now pottering around until it is time to go bowling. Hoping i dont get a phone call to say it has been cancelled due to the weather. Have a great day everyone whatever you are doing.

Good morning, everyone.
Yes, persistent rain at last. Good to see it, but hope it's not too long before it brightens up with more comfortable temperatures than of late.
Enjoy your day. ?

What a wonderful Sunday morning, - it's raining and windy and there is NO sunshine! Yippee!

eazybee Sun 29-Jul-18 10:26:12

Good morning.
Steady rain, which I don't mind, but strong winds, which I do, in the south west.
Miss eating my breakfast on the patio, first time for weeks I have been unable to; one of life's little pleasures.

Juggernaut Sun 29-Jul-18 10:18:00

Morning All,
Cool and raining heavily here in west Cheshire, no walking on the beach for me this morning! Sat in living room with coffee and watched the dog walkers instead. Even the horse riders aren't on the beach yet, can't say I'm surprised!
It's rained quite heavily all night, the plants are looking much happier.
Sorting out cookbook cupboard today, there'll be lots to go to charity shops tomorrow.
Enjoy your Sunday folkssmile

Welcome Chaos I think you will find us a welcoming group on this thread. No politics, no arguing, just friendliness, weather forecasts and what we are doing today.

See you tomorrow.

Good Morning all from a soggy Leith , going home today after a lovely visit , seems co Armagh is super soggy too , hope our newly planted stuff likes the change ?

lemongrove Sun 29-Jul-18 09:56:22

A late good morning from me too, had a late start to the day
(How lazy) and a cooked breakfast, yum!
Rain here, and I think everywhere today, at long last!
Have a nice Sunday smile

A late good morning from me on the NE coast. As Harri said upthread it’s a bit cooler and quite damp up here meaning that some of the planes are unable to fly in the Sunderland air show . Living so close to the coast we usually have the perfect vantage point right in our own garden smile

ChaosIncoporated Sun 29-Jul-18 09:27:54

Thank you for the welcome.
The hydrangeas were desperate for a downpour, so I am not complaining.
I am contemplating a grand sort out of the wardrobe ... but contemplation may be as far as it gets!

ContraryMary88 Sun 29-Jul-18 09:13:35

Morning and welcome chaos I think the general consensus is that it’s a good day to stay in and watch telly with tea and cake and watching other people do strenuous things. The weather here is horrid. Strong winds and rain, hail yesterday too.

Greyduster Sun 29-Jul-18 09:13:15

Good morning Chaos! (That sounds rather splendid I think!) and welcome! Hope your ducks come out soon!!

ChaosIncoporated Sun 29-Jul-18 09:09:47

Good morning, from a newcomer!

Its raining so hard here that the ducks are hiding under the garden table.

ginny Sun 29-Jul-18 08:41:34

Good morning. Chilly , windy and dull here in N. Bucks. So much for nice weather for DD3s Birthday BBQ !

Anniebach Sun 29-Jul-18 08:38:23

Good morning all x

harrigran Sun 29-Jul-18 08:37:40

Good morning, it is cooler and damp here in the NE.
It is airshow weekend and some of the planes have been unable to fly, I like to watch for the Spitfire and Lancaster bomber flying over the house.
Visiting DS and family this afternoon and bringing GD back to stay, she has been honing her rowing skills this week.

Auntieflo Sun 29-Jul-18 08:22:03

Morning all. Wet here in Berks as well. Lots of wind during the night, so the garden needs a good tidy up, but later if I feel up to it. It was nice to go to sleep without having a fan on all night. Nana3 good to hear that you safely made your destination, not a nice feeling to be lost, and MAW last night was certainly dark earlier, shame. Enjoy Sunday everyone.

NannyJan53 Sun 29-Jul-18 08:14:02

Good morning all.

First day of our holiday in Tenby with D D and DGD's and it is belting it down! I know we need this rain, but it's such a shame after all the weeks of sunny weather.

So off downstairs for breakfast to find out plans for the day, I suspect we won't be on the beach!

Have a good day everyone.

Marydoll Sun 29-Jul-18 08:13:13

Good morning all you early risers.
Cool and grey in Glasgow,
I've just been out in my jammies collecting all the things which have blown out of the skip and into the neighbours' gardens.sad. It must have been windy last night,
An easy day today, my children visited and ate all the cake yesterday, so I will have to rustle up some cake for the builders tomorrow. There are some over ripe bananas lying, so banana loaf it is.
I think all the flies from down south have decamped here. grin
Have an enjoyable Sunday everyone.

kittylester Sun 29-Jul-18 08:13:12

Morning all from North Leicestershire where we have very welcome rain and a bit of a breeze. We also had to put the lights on yesterday.

A bit of a lazy day today - I'm still recovering from the lack of sleep brought on by the heat.

Yiayia4 Sun 29-Jul-18 08:00:00

Raining hard now Mick so will be interesting enjoy.

Nana3 Sun 29-Jul-18 07:57:45

Good morning all, its raining in Cardigan and there are noisy ducks outside my bedroom window.
It took me 7 hours to drive here from Lancashire as I got a bit lost, also had to stop for tea and scone.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Pittcity Sun 29-Jul-18 07:52:47

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Breezy and damp is forecast. Yesterday was over 10 degrees cooler than Friday and I am chilly.
Sunday roast for the first time this month I think.

Panache Sun 29-Jul-18 07:52:12

HELP!!!!! The rain has arrived with a vengeance!
At this rate it will be galoshes and kayaks instead of shorts and sun dresses!!!
With the nights drawing in........and oak tree dropping leaves it feels as if it is autumn.

Good sunday morning to you all........a mixed bag of weather it seems.

Wales is proud of our boy Geraint Thomas winning the Tour de France, and for Team Sky another win, great news.

It may call for a an early Derby And Joan day around the fire today............yes it has "that" feel about it.

Wishing you all a day of peace and relaxation.
