Ooh, you can't beat a bit of perk!!???

I think the best reply is I have recently read we are not to fear our grass disappearing ........it has an automatic mode which saves it in times of stress..........such as it has had under this blazing sun.............so no need for "Grass envy"ladies..............we shall soon be mowing.......and moaning about it again as the green lushness re appears!!

We have some very perky sprigs of grass growing among the brown hay.
Sadly a neighbour gleefully informed me it is couch grass and " I will never get rid of it" ☹️

That’s not fair, Maple, I want some perky grass too!

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Last night's storms brought blessed relief from the heat and so I have been catching up on lost sleep. Will be catching up on jobs around the house today.

A late good morning to Mick and everyone from the NE coast. After a spectacular evening of thunder, lightning and very heavy rain the garden is almost smiling . A breezy start too. Lots of jobs to do today then taking my dad out for a curry this evening.

Wet and windy in South Wales too, taking the family to see the house I have just made an offer on, very excited about moving back from Cyprus and settling back I know my dear departed H would be happy at my decision. At Tesco's at 6.30 this morning just fancied croissants for breakfast!

Morning all. We had a thunderstorm for an hour yesterday evening , torrential rain I got wet just closing the patio window. It is sunny this morning with still a lot of cloud and we have quite a breeze so much cooler. Lazy day today family have gone camping so am on my own this weekend left in charge of the cats so will go and feed them soon then pick up the papers for a long lazy read. We didn't see the moon last night either. Hope you enjoy your trip to Wales NannyJan that's where I'm from and I'm looking forward to a trip back in August

Morning all. Rain has been here too. It's so lovely to wake up to a fresh new world. Yesterday afternoon, we had a short rain shower, and when fetching in the washing, it was deliciously refreshing on my skin.

Yes indeed at last we too here on the Welsh coast are falling into line with the weather!! It started raining with the dark and overnight we had some really heavy stuff along with blustery winds.
Calmer this morning again and though looked brighter earlier on the rain has again arrived!
Dare not moan and this time it seems to truly be wetting the ground!

That means no shopping for me so I guess I can just look forward to not a lot!!

Looking good for our welshman Thomas in the Tour de France........fingers crossed.

Good morning from a wet windy and somewhat stormy south east. Back in the burbs after 3 red hot days in Sussex. The break in the weather is very welcome it's good to feel cooler at long last.

It's a shame those who sat up for the blood moon didn't get to see much of it given the cloud cover.

Mainly catching up with washing and ironing today.

I am off to Wales today with DD and her family, so of course that will be the end of the hot weather! Fairly sunny at the moment though.

Disappointed not to see the red moon last night but far too cloudy! We were sitting outside until 11pm when the first drops of rain started.

We had a really good storm last night and this morning feels fresher, overcast and a little damp - but far from wet. I’m just pleased the humidity has gone.

An At Home day planned. I may even tackle the ironing.

It's been raining here all night and the lovely smell of wet grass is in the air.
Off out early to pick up my prescriptions, before it becomes impossible to park in the town centre. I totally forgot to order them, it must be old age.?
Expecting to see my son and granddaughter today, as DIL is working and my son usually appears looking for lunch!.☺️

It has been raining off and on all night and it's bliss!

Dh and DS1 off to a football friendly so I'm back on brunch duty. A trip to the florist first thing and some TV catch up this afternoon.

Morning everyone, well it's been raining here in NE Fife after another lightening storm followed by the rain. Still got quite a nice sky so let's wait and see what today brings. Hope you all have a good day whatever the weather.

So pleasant this morning, fresh and cool. Pavements were wet when i got up and there is the lovely smell of rain in the air.
I may need my brollie when I walk to town in an hour or so.

Off to play bowls this afternoon so dont want rain then but the cool down is most welcome. Have a good day everyone.
