Good Morning Thursday

Good morning from my air conditioned hotel room in Sussex lulling me into a false sense of coolness. I believe it's going to be even hotter today if that's at all possible. Husband is playing golf whilst I'm off to have lunch with one of my old school friends who I've known forever, our an annual catch up goes on for hours but I look forward to then because we always pick up where we left off.

North Leicestershire has a lot of cloud this morning. Still hot though and I'm looking forward to the downpour.

I'm doing a Sainsbury's shop this morning and this afternoon the sister in law of a gn friend is coming for a cup of tea and a look round our house. She was at school here and I'm hoping that she can tell me what it was like before it was converted!

The East Mids meet up was fun - thank you to everyone for making the effort!

Yesterday in London was very hot even in the theatre which had air conditioning.
Quieter day today, DGS is going out with DD2 ( his auntie ).
Out for annual dinner with my sewing group this evening.

Morning all, slightly cooler here this morning. Yesterday seemed to be all hospital, and was I glad to be home. Nothing much planned for today after my Vit B12 injection, maybe out for coffee and try and find new homes for our old sofas. New ones coming next week.

We are grateful that we do not appear to have those higher temperatures some of you are coping with admirably let me say.

Another one really enjoying the routes and scenery of The Tour de France.

A hairdressing day ahead,well I have to keep up appearances and it is usually a trip that has me having a good old gossip!

Sincerely hoping today does not prove too uncomfortable for any one of you......and it turns out even rather pleasureable.

Good morning from a hot, sunny Colchester. Out to supermarket early then home to sit out the 30plus heat in a darkened room.
So looking forward to the promised thunderstorms and return to normal British summer!

P.S. just looked at the BBC local weather forecast and it looks as if those storms are going to start this evening as well as tomorrow.

Well, it was a little more comfortable for sleeping last night, but I still woke early and couldn’t get back to sleep so came down for a cup of tea and a browse through my emails, then onto here.
It looks as if we are in for another hot day here in South Yorkshire, but are promised thunder storms for tomorrow. We’ll just have to wait and see, I suppose, but the grass is desperate for a soaking. It amazes me, though, how the weeds still manage to pop up!
Not a lot planned for today other than odd jobs about the house and garden.
I hope you all have a good day and manage to keep cool in this heat. ?

Morning Mick, Morning All. Cloud over our corner of Somerset. Sky looks heavy, apparently we may get a shower today. Need a foray into the loft so that’s first job before it gets hot up there then a food shop. Not much else today. Stay cool if you can.

Morning everyone! Scorchio again here on the south coast.

Please can we have a good thunderstorm with a good shower or two? Everywhere is so dry and dusty. I even had to use the garden hose on DH when he came back dripping with sweat from his bike club ride yesterday. He stripped off and enjoyed being watered!

Nothing planned now after our usual shopping trip earlier - there for 6.30and it was blissfully quiet and cool. Stocked up on Magnums which were on offer!

Another hot day here in The Black Country.

I am going to visit my cousin today in Telford, take Mum and have a lunch together with cousin and her Mum (Mum's younger sister)

I had lunch out yesterday at the East Mids meet (which was lovely meet everyone who was there and put faces to names) and a lunch with friends Tuesday! Bit like buses, none for a while then 3 turn up at once

We have Kardean in our hall entrance and dining area Nfk and it certainly looks and wears much better than the carpet we had as that area has a lot of wear too.

Morning all,, what a glorious day here in NE Fife, it's just lovely. I'm sure biscuits were greatly appreciated by builders Marydoll, keep baking! Had lovely day yesterday with DGS off to Edinburgh for a wee trip around the shops . Have a great day everyone.

Morning All

A touch fresher in Norfolk this morning. Still sunny though and the air is warming up fast. There were a few really dark clouds forming yesterday afternoon but once again, they evaporated.

Off into the big city this morning (Norwich!) to visit John Lewis and look at flooring options to replace the worn carpet in our dining room. It’s also the way from the front of the house to the kitchen so gets a lot of wear. I’m thinking Karndean but it looks rather pricey.

Nankate, the biscuits were a bit of a disappointment, not much flavour, however it didn't stop the builders demolishing them. On the other hand, the other biscuits, with a splodge of jam in the centre were much nicer, in fact I will need to bake again!
The men say they love this job, as they are never offered even as much as a drink of water on some of their projects.

Good morning everybody, warm and sticky here in N Bucks and quite a few clouds, but no drop in temperature yet.
