All great ideas - thanks so much.

I often buy her a top or something from Joe Browns - that is her sort of style - but I've looked this year and cannot find anything I like.

I'm grateful for your suggestions.

A piece of jewellery
A voucher from her favourite store
Skin care
A couple of books in her favourite genre
A lovely scarf
My daughter who is the same age would like any one of these
Or maybe a massage/facial/mani/pedi in nearby salon

Bloom and Wild “letterbox bouquets” every month for as long as you can afford (about £20 -25 each, but look out for offers)
Excellent flowers , always last 1-2 weeks .
I’ll post a link

I am at a complete loss this year as to what to get my DD for her birthday. She will be 42, and is far better off financially than I am, have ever been or am ever likely to be!

I have bought her a silly present - a laundry basket, peg bag and pegs, because every time I go there I notice the beaten up basket and lack of pegs!

I would just like to put something really nice in the laundry basket as well - any ideas?

She is slim and elegant in a slightly boho way - doesn't wear high heels or any stuff like that.
