Good Morning Everyone,
Its a little cooler at the moment here in Brackley this morning, housework day for me before I settle down to watch the Tour De France on Eurosport.

Morning all.
It's been cloudy and damp here in the Tyne Valley for the last three days. We've had some rain which is good as we haven't had to water the garden. The temperature hasn't risen above 21°c. It's cloudy again today.
I'm childminding later this afternoon as DD and SiL have an appointment at the GP surgery.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning all from SE Essex, hot and sultry here, not a cloud in the sky.

Off to my first hydrotherapy session this morning, not sure what to expect, but if it helps to make my ankle/foot stronger so that I can be 'back to normal' I intend to embrace it 100%.' (my family might argue that point, they do not think I have ever been 'normal,)

Good Morning to all the over heated gransnetters. Off to Sussex for a few days, still really hot here on the edge of London, but expect it won't be much cooler where we are going. Looking forward to annual lunch with old school friend during our stay, but almost dread venturing out in such extreme heat. What a summer!

Good morning from London. Another sweltering day ahead 31 in my kitchen and expected to rise to 32 and 33 tomorrow. It's such a shame i can't appreciate the glorious sunshine due to the excessive heat and humidity. Hardly slept last night because it was so hot. Going in to town tomorrow and not looking forward to the tube journey.

Good morning all. A little cloud, a little sun along The Forth at the moment. It rained yesterday evening!!! Nice slow steady rain for about three hours. First time I've seen rain since first week of June. The birds are very active on the feeders .

Good morning, everyone.
Another very hot day in store today. It's reasonably cool indoors at the moment and I've kept the blinds/curtains drawn for now, but as the day wears on it will get increasingly stuffy. I just wish it was 2 or 3 degrees cooler, as this really hot weather saps my energy after a while, but looking at the forecast it's not set to cool a little until Saturday. Oh well, it's better than being knee deep in snow with biting winds howling round the extremities!???
Enjoy your day if you can, whatever your plans.

Morning Mick, Morning All. Blue sky over our corner of Somerset, breeze so pleasant at the moment. No real plans for today. Feeling decidedly grumpy this morning, no idea why. Mr C has just announced we’re going out, destination not yet decided. Suspect he doesn’t fancy a quiet day with a grumpy Corner hmm. Stay cool if you can.

Good morning all x

Panache Tue 24-Jul-18 08:16:59

Good Morning from west Wales.......which thankfully seems to be having its own weather, grey and slightly damp, but we are very grateful indeed.
More so after reading all these warnings and even reading your posts here show that many of you are having a struggle.

Just as well the weather was cooler so that my DH could remove that burnt out mature pine yesterday,a marathon and one that a man of his age and fitness should NOT have attempted!
He is bringing in the "big boys" to remove the stump..........I gather he has had enough!!!

Enjoy all your outings and whatever chores that are necessary............and good to know you did not overheat yesterday Kate.

Good morning all!
Dull and chilly here in N Bucks - winter draw(er)s on! ⛄️⛄️⛄️

No only kidding, blue skies, wall to wall sunshine, I could get used to this ? ?

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Another hot day ahead. We have a cool breeze at present so I am ironing early then settling down with a book and iPad to wait for the grovery delivery and the cool of the evening to get busy again....I can't do heat....

ninathenana Tue 24-Jul-18 08:00:42

Morning all.
The sun is out in Kent, not as warm as yesterday when my car read 32c mid morning.
Food shopping today and a coffee and people watching from the supermarket cafè whilst I wait to pick up H.
Haply days everyone.

What would we do without our faithful Dyson’s Harri ? smile

harrigran Tue 24-Jul-18 07:55:22

Good morning, overcast here in the NE but temperature never dropped below 19 during the night and we slept with the Dyson on.
Thinking of lunch out at the seaside, might get a nice breeze.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Hot in South Yorkshire again this morning. GS is having his milk and a biscuit - a ritual when he stays here. We are off to the country park today to take a canoe out on the lake. DS is coming down later for a football match and an overnight stay so we are looking forward to seeing him. Have a good day folks.

gillybob Tue 24-Jul-18 07:51:32

Another ☀️☀️☀️☀️ Good morning from N. Bucks.
Packing up a picnic as we are off to the ‘secret Bunker’ today with DGS1.
Enjoy you Tuesday everyone.

Good Morning everyone, it's a lovely day here today in NE Fife, not a breath of wind. One of our dear neighbours died quite sudden yesterday so have been fairly down about this. Didn't see an awful lot of him but we knew each other was always there, so sad. Didn't sleep well at all last night. Got lots of chores to do do today. Take my mind off things hopefully. Have a great day everyone. Marydoll enjoy your time alone, never seem to get that these days! Day in Glasgow sounds great!

Yiayia4 Tue 24-Jul-18 07:21:05

Morning,all so hot already.
Have 2 grandsons today, maybe strawberry and sweet corn picking if they feel like it.
Have a good Tuesday everyone.

travelsafar Tue 24-Jul-18 07:06:53

Lovely and cool at the moment here in Letchworth. I have just picked raspberries from the canes in the garden to go with a chocolate cake I made yesterday as my son and his partner are popping in today for coffee, cake and a catch up.
Have a great day everyone.

NfkDumpling Tue 24-Jul-18 07:05:05

I hate doing it. I find it very difficult to get rid of good clothes I never wear for one reason or another. I mean - I paid money for them!

Marydoll Tue 24-Jul-18 07:00:13

NFK, I find clearing out wardrobes, so therapeutic. Am I a little(?) strange??

NfkDumpling Tue 24-Jul-18 06:56:46

Morning All

Hot, hot, hot, here in the north of Norfolk with clear blue skies. No rain now since the first week in June - and that wasn’t much.

For the first time this morning I’ve kept our east facing French doors closed, the windows shut and the blinds down to stop the heat from pouring in. Opened all the ones on the west side and there’s a gentle breeze cooling the house. We’ve no windows to the north - our house was built for cold weather!

Not much on today, I may sort out my wardrobe. DH emptied it to paint behind it yesterday and there’s stuff in there I’d forgotten I’d got. Most doesn’t fit!

Marydoll Tue 24-Jul-18 06:55:48

Good morning Mick and all. Cloudy and breezy here in Glasgow.
A day to myself, as rare as hen's teeth.? No childminding duties today.
I think I may take myself off to Glasgow on the train for a wander on my own.
Nankate, I'm glad you had a lovely day yesterday.
My husband will be joining all you cycling fans, enjoy! ??
I shall enjoy the peace and quiet.
Enjoy doing your husework everyone. ☹️

NanKate Tue 24-Jul-18 06:43:08

4 of you have popped in here whilst I was writing, so hello to you all. Don’t melt Kitty.
