Good morning, lovely and fresh here this morning after about 6 hours rain last night. Off to the library so hopefully an afternoon in the garden with a good book.

`Morning all...........hope its a case of "Better late than never!!"

Yippe we too had 15 minutes of the heavens opening around midnight with some gentler rain through parts of the night.......already brightening up though.

Decidedly not myself so I will simply wish you all a very pleasant and trouble free weekend.,

Sunny morning in East London. We have not had a single drop of rain. I am feeling stressed on behalf of the trees and plants. A hot week ahead apparently.
Seeing my son and daughter in law today. Really looking forward to that.

Morning everyone, cloudy in NE Fife today. She, I like the sun! Never mind it's not cold. You have been busy Marydoll, put me to shame! Normally an early riser but after a day with our DGS always a bit tired. Enjoy your time with your family. Busy weekend ahead too helping DD out with some house renovations. Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning all from a sunny, warm North Leicestershire.

It rained here yesterday just after I had watered our garden and next door's! It wasn't much though so my time wasn't entirely wasted.

Out for breakfast this morning on our way to watch The Merchant of Venice in the grounds of a country house in Lincolnshire. Dinner somewhere on the way home.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. The clouds of the last few days have gone. We had 5 minutes of light drizzle yesterday and are now promised high temperatures again.
Back into holiday mode then. Relaxing in the garden today and watering after dark.

Good morning, it is overcast after the rain yesterday.
Nothing planned but will be taking GD home this evening as she has activities with school friends next week.

Good morning. First dull start to the day after rain during the night.
Having a mooching day. People watching, buy fresh fish, pasty for lunch.
Dinner out this evening with our friends to celebrate our anniversaries, two of which fall on the same day and the other is today. Our last day here.

Good morning, Mick all, cloudy but dry here in Glasgow.
I've been up since 6 am, it's amazing what you can get done when the house is quiet.
I've prepared the Sunday lunch for tomorrow and the Chelsea buns are proving before going in the oven.
Busy day catching up on all the things we can't do while the builders are here.
We have DGD overnight, as it is her parents' wedding anniversary.
DD and her fiancé have also invited themselves to dinner, so a full on day.
Have a good weekend everyone and I hope you get some much needed rain.☔?️?️

We have a few clouds in an otherwise blue sky here in Letchowrth.

This morning I am meeting my sister to go to a funday held by the Lions Group who raise money for charity.

Then this afternoon we are both playing bowls in opposing teams. Have a great day everyone.

ninathenana Sat 21-Jul-18 07:15:13

Morning all.

Hazy sunshine again to start the day in Kent. We had about 4 hrs of steady rain yesterday but much more is needed.
GS saw surgeon yesterday and they are going to perform corrective surgery on his palate asap, he will then need intensive ST. I can't imagin him with normal speach.
More decorating in spare room today. Have fun whatever your doing.

Morning All

Light high cloud here this morning. We did have a big black cloud float over yesterday afternoon but it didn’t drop anything - or if it did it evaporated before it hit the ground. Perhaps we’re not high up enough.

Off to a lunchtime bbq at the sailing club with DS and family today. Perhaps that’ll bring on a shower.

(The knee is scabbing up nicely and I concentrating hard on walking properly but DH thinks I should revert to The Stick again. Perhaps I’ll just take it on rough ground to keep him happy.)

Greyduster Sat 21-Jul-18 07:13:56

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Our spell of rain was short lived yesterday and we are back to sunshine. I woke up at four feeling as if I had slept on broken bricks so I think I shall be useless for the rest of the day. We have to go and order the tiles for the downstairs cloakroom but apart from that a quiet day. Happy Saturday, folks.

MawBroon Sat 21-Jul-18 07:02:45

Missed Gagagran - good morning!

MawBroon Sat 21-Jul-18 07:02:04

Good morning Mick, cornergran and all to come.
I cannot believe I accidentally set my alarm for 6.30 and it’s Saturday and I am going nowhere and doing less!
Torrential rain here in N Bucks last night as I drove back from London so I hope the garden will have benefited (even if the washing I left out hasn’t)
An indoor day I think, there are some drawers I have been meaning to attack for months but Royal weddings and Wimbledon etc got in the way. Wishing you all a pleasant day!

Gagagran Sat 21-Jul-18 06:58:54

Morning Mick, corner and everyone

It's dry and bright with light cloud here on the south coast and we missed the rain too. It will rain again ..... one day!

Easy day planned today after a busy week. Sorted out my pots of done-for plants yesterday. They were meant to last all summer but fast forwarded their lifespan with the unusual continual sunshine and heat. It looks neater but bare on my my patio. Need a trip to see what's left at the garden centre!

Have a good day folks.

cornergran Sat 21-Jul-18 06:40:00

Morning Mick, Morning All. Sadly no rain in our corner of Somerset. Whoever thought I’d be wanting rain? Mix of sun and light cloud, walk by the beach then a food shop. Not much else here today. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.
