Thanks. I’ve given up on the rain dance window cleaning. We even cleaned the cars, the boat and the caravan. Black clouds, very humid, no rain.

No, the physio didn’t show me how to get up without the use of knees. I sort of follow the toddler, bum in the air way of doing it. Is there another way?

Rufus2 Fri 20-Jul-18 13:17:14

Incredibly I managed to get up unaided - although luckily no one was watching
Nfk: Very sorry to hear of your misfortune. sad
I know the feeling- like, it hurts!
But I'd say "unlucky" that no-one etc. because it's such a pain regaining your feet, especially on your own.
Did the post-op physios teach you their way during re-hab.? Your Guardian Angel must have been on a break! And give window- cleaning a break too!
Have a pleasant recuperation.

A very late good morning from me today - I was off line earlier.
It's very warm here. Not sure if we'll get the forecast rain this pm, but the gardens desperately need it now.
Just been out in the garden doing a bit of deadheading and general tidying up, which I really enjoy. ?
Having a coffee break now, but then I really must tackle the ironing before the next load of washing joins it!!
Hope your knee is ok, nfk, take it steady today, and I hope your x-ray results are in, greyduster.

Good morning from Colchester where the sun is peeping out from behind grey clouds. Still no rain forecast here. The clouds just dissipate. I would love a few days rain and would go out and dance in it....fed up of being sweaty!

lemongrove Fri 20-Jul-18 08:56:26

Good morning to all, blue skies earlier but now grey, warm and humid, just like yesterday, a chance of rain today ( I can only hope!)
A quiet morning, and seeing friends in the afternoon, a peaceful end to the week before the whirl of school holidays begins.

harrigran Fri 20-Jul-18 08:52:33

Good morning, it is another sunny start to the day.
Was a sticky night, had to set up the Dyson air multiplier in GD's room because she couldn't sleep.
Shopping this morning.

Good Morning all,

Very warm here, but fairly cloudy

We are off to Upton on Severn this afternoon, to camp for the weekend for the Blues Festival. Showers are forecast in parts today, hope it is not whilst we are putting the tent up!

Good morning all. It's raining along the Forth. Nice slow steady rain. Perfect for the land. The first time I have seen rain since the beginning of June! Quiet morning then off to do my shift at the charity shop this afternoon. Mind that knee nfk hope your not bruised.

NfkDumpling Fri 20-Jul-18 08:12:30

It's the whole town Kitty. The judges go on a two hour tour so we've been out making sure the route is looking it's best. The shops are dripping with blooms, the school kids are waiting to show off their garden, the community allotment is standing to attention ...... We're going for Gold!

aggie Fri 20-Jul-18 07:58:05

Good morning from sunny Devon.
Take care with that knee NFL’s and hope your results are good greyduster.

We are off to Dartmouth and the castle today and then a wander around some pretty villages. Meeting up with our friends for cream tea later.

Greyduster Fri 20-Jul-18 07:37:34

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Sunny in South Yorkshire again and hoping the forecast rain will not pass us by today. I have to ring the surgery to see if the results of my X-ray are in and then try and get an appointment. Take it easy with the knee, NfK. Have a good day folks.

Yiayia4 Fri 20-Jul-18 07:27:47

Thanks Kittylester, look after that knee nfk.

NanKate Fri 20-Jul-18 07:27:16

Morning Mick and All.

What a lovely idea a proposal at a castle Marydoll ?

Well done Oldgoat 13 years of TLC for your grandchildren, they will never forget their time with you. ?

Back home after 10 lovely days in the New Forest I will miss the ponies and donkeys outside our window.

Nana3 Fri 20-Jul-18 07:23:58

Good morning. Sunny in Lancashire, two very lively dgds coming to stay for 2 nights. Hope your knee is okay NfkD.
Have a good day everyone.

kittylester Fri 20-Jul-18 07:23:20

Morning all.

North Leicestershire is hot and heavy this morning and we have the possibility of thunderstorms. Is it wrong to hope we do get them?

I hope you have no lasting damage from your fall nfk. Is it your own garden or a 'community' one that is being judged?

I hope things are all good for your DGS, yiayia.

OG one of ours is moving on this year, sad isn't it?

Brunette10 Fri 20-Jul-18 07:22:01

(smile)

Marydoll Fri 20-Jul-18 07:14:33

Brunette, the grass is always greener. I love your part of the world! When our children were small, we always visited Dumbarton Castle as a treat for our daughter's birthday. She asked for this every year.
Last year her fiancé proposed there, which I thought was very romantic.?‍❤️‍?.?

Brunette10 Fri 20-Jul-18 07:08:13

Good Morning everyone and back after my short break away to Dumbarton which was lovely. Marydoll you certainly have some lovely locations along there. Raining here in NE fife but not heavy, not complaining. Have DGS today so looking forward to it. Have a great day everyone

winterwhite Fri 20-Jul-18 06:57:10

Sounds painful, Dumpling. Many people would say b****r the last minute weeding. I hope you win. Can you post a pic of your garden? flowers

oldgoat Fri 20-Jul-18 06:56:45

Morning all.
It's a sad day because GS2 will be coming for his breakfast before going to primary school for the last time today before he moves on to Secondary school .
We have looked after the GSs for 13 years so it's the end of an era for us.

Sunny at the moment here in York but rain is forecast just in time for the school hols.
Have a good day everyone
