Many congratulations. Wouldnt it have felt good to receive a card or two and perhaps some flowers. But hey-ho, no doubt your OH is very loving in many ways. 60 years is a very long time. Will he feel sorry you are upset. Do tell him so he can put it right and arrange a good day out together and remember the journey youve been on together on what may have been a long and winding road. Ill raise a glass to you both this evening ??

Do your children even know how to organise a card from the Queen because I wouldn't, didn't even know it was a thing I thought that was for 100th Birthday only.
Anyway buy yourself something special to mark the occasion and when he asks where it came from watch him squirm.

Many congratulations to you chicken it is ours two weeks today.
I am already over the expectation that anyone but me will remember.
My H has dementia and my birthday last Thursday was not mentioned by him even though he was told many times by
family.
My C will not do anything even if they remember as both their marriages have ended and I think they don't like being reminded of their failures.
Buy yourself something special. I shall.

midgey--how true!

midgey Thu 19-Jul-18 16:42:54

Whoops....should have said ‘surviving your marriage for so long’. But perhaps the other half may not survive much longer for forgetting such an achievement!

chicken Thu 19-Jul-18 16:42:35

I think what hurts the most is that none of the kids has bothered to organise the card from the Queen. I would have loved to have had one of those!

Scribbles Thu 19-Jul-18 16:41:45

Very best wishes and congratulations from me, also. I understand how you feel as my OH doesn't bother about anniversaries either unless heavily prompted.?

midgey Thu 19-Jul-18 16:41:15

Congratulations for surviving so long! flowers

pollyperkins Thu 19-Jul-18 16:37:36

Many co gratulations by the way. 60 years is amazing!

pollyperkins Thu 19-Jul-18 16:36:38

I would be very hurt. But it wouldn't have happened as I would have been talking about it for months and planned a celebration of some sort!!
I'd say something to him and suggest a celebration eg weekend away or even just a day out and a meal somewhere. But it depends on what you both enjoy of course!!

NanaandGrampy Thu 19-Jul-18 16:28:30

Congratulations and sorry it seems to have been forgotten.

Please go and buy yourself something lovely from your OH , in fact buy two!!!

Madgran77 Thu 19-Jul-18 16:18:05

Have you always celebrated the wedding anniversary or just ignored it like us? If the latter then that will be why he has not even thought of it I imagine"

mumofmadboys Thu 19-Jul-18 15:47:52

Suggest a meal out today or tomorrow and enjoy it. In a few days time explain how hurt you are and that anniversaries matter to you.

Panache Thu 19-Jul-18 15:29:52

Perhaps a gentle reminder would have been in order, but here are more flowers from me flowers together with a glass of wine........ so celebrate away!!!

GrannyGravy13 Thu 19-Jul-18 15:24:00

Well - congratulations from me!flowers

FlexibleFriend Thu 19-Jul-18 15:09:05

60 years Congratulations.
I'm sorry you feel hurt but I've never marked any milestones so never bothered with anniversaries etc. I don't see the point it's just a date, surely what really matters is whether or not you are still happy together and you can celebrate that any day of the year.

chicken Thu 19-Jul-18 15:02:59

It's our diamond wedding anniversary today and no one remembered, not even OH.
