No not really ffinnochio and I am assertive enough to tell DD if I couldn't afford lunch. smile It just makes me laugh that it doesn't matter how adult my children are, they still happily take a free lunch! I was always trying to prove to my mum how well I was doing!

I guess this was a tongue-in-cheek OP ... as I don’t think you’re actually skint ....not really. ?

I know what you mean Lyndylou. I went shopping with DH and DGD on Saturday. I went to look for underwear for my holidays, but ended up buying two bras and a dress for DGD. Then we went for lunch.
I ended up buying my undies online.

Usually on a Friday Morning I pop into the local M&S because I like some of their food items. Today I had a £5 off £25 on my Sparks card for the Foodhall. At last moment my daughter comes with me. Firstly thing I see is a Tshirt I bought 2 weeks ago and not worn yet now with £5 off. Then we decided to have lunch which ended up on my debit card, and so did some cards we bought for DGS's teachers. Then we went to the Foodhall where I carefully spent £30 only to find Sparks offer is online only. Somehow I have spent £55 overall when I meant to spend £25! I think I'll stay home next week, it's cheaper!
