Is Harry happy?

Who gives a damn. His happiness has absolutely no effect on your life so why are you bothered?

It always used to amuse me when people called Diana the Peoples' Princess and talked about how she understood ordinary life. The fact that she wore clothes that would have kept them in food and housing for months seemed to escape them. I recently watched a TV programme which showed a mother trying to talk her 16 year old daughter into accepting an Aston Martin for her birthday. There are plenty of rich people out there throwing money around.

I didn't see the pictures of Harry so I can't comment on that. I'm just commenting that when Diana died and the country saw those two young boys following her coffin, that touched me so deeply as a mother myself. I adopted those two boys in my heart as I'm sure many other people did. I've followed them over the years and I want them both to be happy, money or not. Specially Harry, he's my favorite XX

I am finding this whole thread distasteful, attacking a couple starting out on married life just because of the family he was born into. He had no more control over that than anyone else born rich, poor, English, Irish, Scottish or any other nationality. Yes he does have a privileged life but it is not one of his choosing. I suspect if Meghan bought all her clothes in Primark, popped into Aldi for the weekend shop and moved with Harry into a bed-sit it would not stop some people criticising. Like most people I have no strong feelings one way or the other about the RF as they have no effect on my life.

Just watched some footage of Harry and Megan in Ireland and they both look very relaxed and happy. Maybe being in Ireland, a more relaxed and informal environment is allowing them to be more themselves. Don't forget that as well as being in a new marriage Megan has also started a new job. I was always told it takes year to get used to a new job and she's just started!

If it were a marriage of convenience you would hardly pick an older woman, American, divorced, mixed race - with some dodgy family members !
I think she is lovely - just what our royal family needs. All the body language shows they love each other.
Can't believe I am waste no my time even commenting on it - just find the whole thread depressing when the even yesterday was the opposite.

Maybe she's preggers and he's wondering how he will be able to afford it.

Whether you think they actually earn it is debatable lizzypopbottle but your really can't compare pop stars, footballers etc. with the royals. These people have worked "hard" at whatever sport or discipline to get to the top of their game and we choose whether to pay to watch them play or perform or buy their kit/latest album whatever.

The royals are born into wealth and privilege that they have done nothing at all to earn. We have no choice but to pay towards their very lavish lifestyle.

True Lizzypop, I was not pleased to read my tv licence fee goes towards Gary Linekers 1.75 million a year salary but accept some think he is worth it.

But you make it sound dreadful to have them flying over London Grandma70s as if we should be ashamed of them rather than celebrating the hundred years of the RAF .

It's not just the royal family who live a privileged lifestyle. Premiership footballers are paid an obscene amount for kicking a ball on a Saturday. BBC presenters sit in a studio and are often quite rude or simply facile and are paid huge salaries. NHS bosses, high profile chefs and actors, CEOs of charities, the list goes on and we pay them all in one way or another. We don't stay away from football matches, we buy the merchandise. We listen to the radio, watch films and buy our TV licence. We don't withdraw support for charities (unless their high profile workers blot their copybooks) so we are enabling all this (except the NHS where we have no real choice even at the ballot box). We pick on the royal family because we feel we're paying for their lifestyle but plenty of people live in huge houses and can afford the best medical care. We're paying for that too but indirectly. Money comes to money!
